Diva Starz: Mall Mania

Overview

Diva Starz: Mall Mania is a game developed by Digital Illusions Canada and published by Vivendi Universal for the Game Boy Color platform.

Gameplay

In Diva Starz: Mall Mania players take turns playing as one of the 4 Diva Starz. Players can choose to play as the characters in whatever order they want.

Once a character has been chosen players will control them driving on a scooter as they head to the mall. While on the scooter the player is tasked with jumping to collect the various items that are floating in the air.

Mini-Games

Each of the playable characters must go through 5 mini-games after driving the scooter to the mall. The goal is to collect an object at the end of each game in order to walk the catwalk at the fashion show.

Style Spot

In the Style Spot mini-game players can choose a clothing item for the head, top, bottom, and shoes. The goal is to make an outfit that the character likes. After winning this mini-game players get to choose an outfit for the fashion show.

Music Spot

The Music Spot mini-game is a rhythm based game which has button prompts scrolling down a path. Once the button prompts pass by a red line the player is supposed to hit that button. Once players have won this game they can choose the music style for the fashion show.

Fashion Spot

At the Fashion Spot mini-game there is a conveyor belt with various shopping bags moving along them. On those shopping bags is an image. Players must throw the accessory that matches that image in to a set number of bags. Once won, players get to choose an accessory for the fashion show.

Snack Spot

The Snack Spot game features a dessert on a plate made up of three components. Players must move the entire dessert to the middle dish while only able to move a single component at a time. Smaller components can not have larger ones on top of them. Once this game has been completed players get to choose the fashion show motif.

Pet Spot

The Pet Spot game has players navigating their character through a pet store maze in search of the wandering pet. Once found, that pet joins the character for the fashion show.
