Curious who everyone considers their "main" and if any of you changed your button layout or not. The shoulder buttons didn't feel right to me so I changed mine.

Main: Dr. Shoals

Button Layout: D-Pad Down : Dive X-Button : Kick

I'm using the shoulders and maining Kick at the moment.

I've been using Baz, and then Dive when I run into more horizontal characters that give Baz issues.

For buttons I use D-Pad Right for Dive and Square for Kick.

I think REDACTED is the one I'm best at, so I'll stick with her.

Using Up on the d-pad for Dive, and Square for kick.

I have been picking random characters online to try and get a feel for them all, but so far I am really liking Dive. I kept the default controls on the PS3 and use left and right shift for the PC version.

I'm also using mostly Dr. Shoals, with a little bit of Mr. N as well. I also changed my buttons to Down and X.

L1+R1, Jefailey

Shoulders on Vita, F and J on keyboard.

I am losing equally with every character so far.

Main: Dive

Buttons: Right on D-Pad rigt to dive and X to kick.

Right now my win loss ratio 1:1.

Dr. Shoals

A to dive and L to kick

Kick and Shoals.

X to Dive, Square to Kick.

main: Dr. Shoals. So quick.

Buttons: Left D-Pad for dive, O for Kick

Maining Dive, using A and B on my Xbox gamepad for dive/kick.

I'm using left on the D-pad for dive and circle for kick. So far i'm getting the best results playing as Markman but I want to but some more time into REDACTED and Stream before I lock in a "main".

what are some good buttons for the pc? i dont seem to be getting a good feel but then again ive only tried a couple combinations. Im using F = dive and H = kick. I dont see that going well for multiplayer on one keyboard.

Any suggestions?

It's been working okay so far.

Mr. N and Left Dpad and Circle as Jeff Suggested. It is working so far. I was having too much trouble hitting specials with the triggers.

I haven't tried everyone yet but so far I'm maining Dive

L1 + R1 for my contollers (although I do have two DDR pads I want to try out)

I am liking Shoals, but don't quite have a main yet.

On controller, I use LB for dive and RB for kick.

Keyboard I use z for dive and / for kick buttons.

I've been using Markman a lot.

A for Dive, X for Kick.

I'm usin' a lot of Markman and Dive right now. Looking to maybe get into S-Kill here in a bit.

I use A button as my dive and LT as my kick. Don't ask me why those are the buttons I use...

Shoals and The Baz are my favourites so far. Been liking Markman a bit, too.

Using Circle and Left on PS3, A and L on PC.

Using my fight stick on the PS3 and PC, using left and O on the Vita, still random picking to figure stuff out. Markman, Kick and Redacted are probably my favorites so far.

Picked up wood and stuff for my kickbox today, starting construction tomorrow, hopefully my buttons get here by the end of the week. Also need to get a hold of some plexi glass, something to cut plexiglass with, and steal some art for the thing.

I main Kick because I'm bad at games and I love Kick+Kick gem. And I use Left D-Pad for Dive and Circle for Kick because that's where my fingers feel most comfortable.

Kenny, because I believe that the Spirit Ball is the single best special move in the game.

I play on Steam, and use L-Shift and R-Shift. I find that the keyboard actually works really well compared to a 360 controller.

I like the way Mr.N sounds the best and the way he plays ain't too shabby either.

I'm using A for Dive and X for Kick on the Xbox controller for the PC version. It can get a little tough to quickly mash jump and kick for some characters otherwise I like that setup the best so far.

Best thing about playing on a fight stick is being able to fake people out by hitting unbound buttons really hard and making them flinch when you're playing local vs. It never gets old.

So, um, can you use alt and F4?

Mostly using Kick. I'm using up arrow for dive and right ctrl for kick on PC.

the bumpers on my xbox controller ( playing on pc). i started of with The Baz because i think he is amazing but sucked hard with him. now maining Kung Pao love her passive aggressiveness.

I'm enjoying Shoals' excellent mobility a lot, so I use her the most online. Jeff said on tumblr that Shoals kinda sucks though, so maybe I'll be switching characters soon; I still haven't given the crazier characters (Markman, Stream, S-Kill) a real look.

Buttons: mushy left and right keys on my old keyboard. I'll manage, but I'd prefer the mouse buttons. It's strange that's not possible, it seemed like a perfect fit.

Only played Dive's story mode so far so I don't have a main. I'm using D to Dive and K to Kick.

Kick, A+B on the 360 controller.

Not played much, but liking S-Kill so far. X & Y on a 360 controller.

I main a dive Uncle Sensei with a pocket dive Redacted but I've not really practiced her much at all. After I learned how to play him and had my aha moment with the character and game in general, it's starting to become more natural. That and I feel good with my top 10 online Sensei position :D. Probably won't last but I love that my real goal is being better than other Sensei's and not the best player.

Buttons I use the X and Triangle buttons on my PS3 controller on both platforms. I twist it around and usually rest it so the buttons face the screen and the other side with the D-pad is propped up in between my legs. I like it a lot and prefer it over keyboard. Before that I used 1 and 0 without really giving it much thought.

I main S-Kill, and my current set up on both Steam and PSN are the shoulder buttons, but I'm gonna need to switch the layout soon because I don't think it's doing me any favors.

Left d-pad dive, X kick.

S-Kill, I use the Yellow and the Blue button obviously. (Down and X on Vita, left and right on the d-pad mess me up in menus)

I've only finished the Redacted story so far and played as Dr. Shoals and Kick so it's too early to tell. Right now I'm going with the one-handed approach of A and D on the keyboard.

I've been playing a lot of Mr. N, and I am currently using 'z' for dive and '/' for kick (aka 3d pinball flipper controls)

I'm using Kung Pao, and playing with the D-Pad Down and A of a 360 controller.

I'm loving S-Kill, Dive and Kick - not sure which I'll main yet as whenever I play S-Kill I feel like I'm trolling.

On Vita I'm using Up and Triangle.

Kick, default r1/l1.

Main-ing Dr. Shoals and playing using the LB and RB buttons.

X & O respectively.I like either using Kick or Markman.

Lots of Shoals so far, like Kick quiet a bit as well. Kung Pao seems cool but I'm having trouble figuring out how to build meter effectively with her crazy long kick. and I havent really dive(kick)d into many other characters yet.. I'm on pc so I've been going L-Shift for Dive and R-Shift for kick. If I use a controller will probably use the shoulder buttons.

Hard to tell who my main is, i've been playing as Kick a lot. But i also like Redacted, Mr. N and Dive so im tuning it down between those. My button config has mostly been shoulder buttons on an xbox controller for the pc, although i've been toying with some other layouts because i feel like i drop buttons.
