The Japanese Shinto sun goddess, ruler of the Plain of Heaven, whose name means 'shining heaven' or 'she who shines in the heavens.' She takes on the form of a wolf in the game Okami, and is also the game's protagonist.

Andrew DeSalvo

Andrew DeSalvo was a man who watched over the Wish House orphanage in Silent Hill 4. He is later drowned by Walter Sulivan and comes back as one of the main ghosts against Henry Townshend.

Atlas

Atlas' spirit was captured in the Titan-God War by Hades when he saved Cronus. When he awoke, he was in the Underworld when Zeus delivered the final blow in the form of the Blade of Olympus. Contrary to common belief, he holds up not the entire Earth, but the sky.

Chuck Norris is a martial artist and actor that has appeared in film and television. He is also the subject of an internet meme that jokingly portrays him as the most powerful being in the known universe.

Cronos was one of the twelve Titans born to Gaia and Ouranos (Uranus). He was the youngest of the twelve, and fathered 6 of the Olympians that would then go on to rule the heavens.

A bull-headed demon tasked with torturing individuals in Buddhist Hell.

Gwendolyn

Daughter of Odin, the demon lord and Princess of Ragnanival. She is one of the main characters in Odin Sphere.

Helios is the sun god and rides a chariot that brings light to the world.

Hercules

Son of Zeus and a hero of legendary proportions, he appears in a multitude of games as a mighty warrior. Also known as Herakles.

Issun

Issun the Poncle is an artist and calligrapher who wanders the land of Nippon. He comes to befriend the wolf goddess Amaterasu, and become her closest companion and guide in the game Ōkami.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is regarded as the Son of God in the Christian religion. He is also regarded as a prophet of God in the Islamic religion.

Khorne

Khorne, the "Blood God", is a chaos god and the most straightforward in his antics. He sits atop a throne made out of countless skulls. Being the chaos god of blood and battle, he grows stronger for every kill contributed to him.

Kratos

The main protagonist of the God of War series, Kratos journeys to the ends of the earth in order to bring down the Gods on Mount Olympus.

Krishna

The 8th incarnation of Vishnu and an immensely popular figure in Hindu folklore. Krishna is commonly depicted as a blue-skinned youth playing a flute or pipe.

Medusa

Medusa is often portrayed in games as a creature that is a cross between a woman and a snake. The lower body is often a snake tail, and the hair is usually a mass of snakes. Other than this, the head and torso are that of a woman.

A horse-headed demon tasked with torturing individuals in Buddhist Hell.

Mono

A maiden sacrificed because of her "cursed fate". Her resurrection is the motivation for Wander's quest in Shadow of the Colossus.

Nurgle

Also called Grandfather Nurgle, as he seems to have a keen interest in his infected victims, Nurgle is the chaos god of disease and decay. He takes delight in creating new plagues and orchestrating them upon the struggling realm of Warhammer.

Orochi

Orochi is an eight-headed, eight-tailed dragon from Japanese mythology. It typically appears in video games as some form of a boss, possibly most famously in Okami.

Prometheus

In Greek mythology, Prometheus is the titan who stole fire from the Gods and gave it to man. When Zeus discovered this, he had Prometheus chained to a mountain, made him mortal, and had an eagle eat his liver every day, which regenerated and caused him eternal suffering.

An archaeologist who steals Indiana Jones's treasures right after he finds them.

Rikimaru

Rikimaru is a Ninja from the Azuma clan that serves Lord Gohda. He is the main character of the Tenchu franchise.

Siddhartha Gautama

The primary figure and founder of Buddhism, commonly referred to as Gautama Buddha, or simply "Buddha". In Hinduism, he is regarded as the 9th avatar of Vishnu, the supreme lord and preserver of the universe. In Ahmadiyya Islam, he is considered a prophet of God.

Slaanesh

Slaanesh, the Dark Prince of chaos, is a god in the Warhammer & Warhammer 40.000 universe. Lust, pride and self-indulgence are the hallmarks of those that follow him. Slaanesh is androgynous but referred to as a "he".

Tatsuya Suou

The silent protagonist in Persona 2: Innocent Sin and a playable character in Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
