So I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Sometimes during scratches or a rewind, one or more of the buttons trigger. This makes getting euphoria or 4x multipliers nigh on impossible. I've read comments from other users on other message boards complaining about the same, but was just wondering if anyone here had this problem and if they found a simple fix for it.
I already exchanged my first deck and now my second one is acting up as well and I really don't feel like going through the annoyance of getting that one replaced. I guess it might be inevitable though.

DJ Hero turntables glitching out
Sounds like the guitar hero drums issue all over again :(
Hope it doesnt turn out to be a pain for you!
It's weird, at first, i had that problem too but when i started to get better the problem dissapeared.
From what I've been able to gather from Activision's Q&A, it could be due to some kind of interference with the wireless signal. Any kind of device that emits a wireless signal could disirupt the signal according to them. The only thing I have around is a phone, but it shouldn't send out anything. If it's my router, well... They can't expect me to shut down my access to the interwebs just to play the game, right? I'll try turning stuff off and see if I get any results.
Yeah, I'm totally getting that problem too. I'm also getting some tiny 1 second freezes on PS3 which is obviously making me miss notes.
Otherwise, I'm in love with the game.
i pretty much signed up here to check on this topic cause...
it has happened to me. Since day one, spinning the disc/doing a rewind would trigger random button presses.
But, only today, scratching has led to random buttons being pressed. Which has made the game unplayable, and Im hoping there's a way to fix it but not enough people seem to have the game so theres nothing on the internet.
Well moving the phone away from the controller didn't work either. So either it's my router or Activision are just wrong. I'm starting to think that it could just as well be the software that's responsible, since it doesn't seem to have any effect on the controller while on the dashboard.
I feel like it's the software too, to be honest." Well moving the phone away from the controller didn't work either. So either it's my router or Activision are just wrong. My personal experience is that there is no problem with ANYTHING apart from when you rewind when OCCASIONALLY it'll trigger buttons for no reason.
I was having this rewind problem as well. Even if I knew that absolutely hit nothing else, it would still reset my streak. Kind of defeats the purpose of using it if it just kills my momentum.
Honestly, it never occurred to me that being an early adopter would be a bad idea ( i never bought the GH drums, and by the time RB came out in canada, they seemed to have the issues fixed)
For me my controller wasn't working last night when I was at a friends house. We put it on a stand and when one of my friends was playing it the buttons wouldn't work at all when you pressed them. I check it out, shook it a bit then they worked. Since I've been home playing with the turntable on my lap no problems. Still paranoid though of this thing fucking up.. =/
When I booted up to play yesterday morning I got two tracks in before the buttons suddenly stopped working. The knob & crossfader still worked but pressing any of the buttons or attempting to scratch got no response. It wasn't persistent thank god (it stopped if I exited & restarted the track) but I'm a bit wary when I play now.
mine has the same problem, i shall be taking it back tommorow in hope that i get one that works, real bummer cos i love the game :(
I've definitely had similar problems. It's not a perfect solution, but every time before I play the game I take my phone out of the room, and then reset the wireless connection on the controller, this seems to take care of random short-outs on the controller.
As far as accidentally hitting a note when rewinding, I've had the same problem, but I just try to spin it back carefully, it's a rare problem, but occasionally pisses me off.
I have the same problem. Does Activision have a number? I want to ask for a replacement. I don't want to play 'Boom Boom Tap' and the Tiesto song (which I love) over and over so I don't need to scratch.
IM HAVENT THE SAME PROBLEM I CAN PREES ALL OTHER BUTTONS WITH OUT ISSUE , EXCEPT FOR THE RWIND AND SCRATCHS
THIS IS MY THIRD DJ HERO SYSTEM
PLEASE HELP
ACTIVISION OVB DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE OR ELSE ITD BE FIXED ,
IM REALLY SICK OF THIS ,
THEY SHOULD HAVE HAD ALL THIS DELT WITH BEFOR THE GAME WAS REALESED ON MARKET
I've always had the buttons trigger accidentally. Doesn't bug me to much: I stay on medium. But today, my crossfader started moving itself onscreen, which seems a bit much.
I'm not overly mad since I got both 1 & 2 incredibly cheap, but man, did Activision cheap out on the hardware.
