DLC Quest

DLC Quest is a platforming action game for XBL indie games developed by Going Loud Studios. In it you must collect coins to purchase various "DLC" that will enable things such as animations, sound, and the ability to pause.

Concepts

2D

Sure, these days have almost every game sporting the newfangled 3D, but way back when, everyone had to live with plain old 2D. 2D, or two dimensions, limit the game to scrolling backgrounds, but some games even now make use of this basic concept.
Deliberately Retro

Sometimes designers add old-school things on purpose to enhance game design.
Digital Distribution

Digital Distribution is the concept of purchasing digital media via the internet and having it sent to the user directly via the internet. No physical representation of this content is given but the content resides on the users hard drive and is legally owned by them.
Double Jump

A double jump is the ability to jump while already in mid-air to get some extra lift. It totally violates the fundamental laws of physics, but we try not to think about that.
Indie Royale

Indie Royale sells bundles of independent games for cheaper than they would cost purchased separately. Purchasers can choose to pay more than the current minimum to lower the minimum price for others.
Jump

It's arguably the one move that symbolizes the medium to those outside it. The ability to jump, be it onto building, onto platforms, or onto skulls, is one of the all time most important abilities ever put in a video game.
Parody

DLC Quest is a satirical take on DLC, Achievements, and Unlockables.
Steam

Steam is a digital distribution service owned by Valve. Originally created to distribute its own games, Steam has since expanded to become the de facto standard for digital distribution of PC games, and supports community features, downloadable content and achievements. Starting 2010, Steam now offers Mac games as well.

Games that have been accepted by Valve through Steam's Greenlight service.
Xbox Live Indie Games

Xbox Live Indie Games are games developed for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console using their XNA community game development tools. XNA stands for "XNA's Not Acronymed."
Zombie

A term used to (inaccurately) describe the walking dead. They feed largely on the flesh of the living, but are sometimes depicted as craving brains specifically. They often move slowly, due to rigor mortis, but are extremely deadly in large numbers. Unfortunately, they're always found in groups. Shotgun time!
