320 Microsoft Points / $4.00 on PSN
...Saw this coming a mile away lol
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Jan 15, 2013
I'd honestly rather play with the default. While I prefer the old design overall it does not suit the new Dante.
Prediction: Everybody calls bullshit on this, shit-talks Capcom until they're blue in the face, and then buys the classic Dante skin :)
lol...
He looks really really dumb ingame. I got it for preordering on PSN. It came with 3 skins aside from the default. Other than "Dark Dante" they are bad looking. I would definitely not spend 4 bucks on it. And the Dark Dante is basically just him with white hair and blue clothes.
The skins menu also says you can unlock skins by beating the game. Anyone know what that is? Are they just weapon skins?

I think it should come with the game, because this is kind of overpriced. But hey, if the new look bothers you so much...
And it's only one costume out of the first costume pack (yes, first). But it's also the best of the bunch, unless you really want "Neo Dante," I guess.
But yeah. A million years or 320 Microsoft Points, whichever comes first.
pretty sure that's the skin you unlock for beating either Son of Sparda or Dante Must Die difficulty.
I know you get his DMC3 outfit on one of those.

I see no problem with this. Good on them for making the skin! this is a perfect case of asking people to 'put the money where their mouth is'
Asking people to pay extra for something that should honestly be in the game on the disc and not as DLC isn't telling people to put their money where their mouths are. Funny thing being if @Oldirtybearon is correct, the classic Dante skin is already in the game and can be unlocked, in which case, this is just Capcom/NT asking for money to unlock something early.
Haha. I feel like they are trolling hard. Seriously though, I don't know like anything about the new DMC game, but from the screens, new Dante looks like emo 14 year old high school kid is pissed cause he didn't get extra dessert from the lunch lady.
I will probably play, but I will wait until it drops to like 30 or 40 maybe. I have too much to play still from last year and such anyway.
It's a skin pack... a skin pack. Not like the end of the game or any actual story content, so why the fuck anyone cares? Don't like it don't buy it.

Doesn't the DLC have less to do with Capcom but more to do with NT?
I wouldn't think so considering Capcom releases costume packs for pretty much all their games so this should come to no surprise to anyone.
This sucks but apparently makes money, people bitch about it yet it gets bought. If there is anyone to be mad at this point it is the people who buy it, if it bothers you that much.

I like how people get pissed when there's DLC costumes. Nobody is forcing you to buy it.
Once upon a time things like this were unlocks in the game.
Remember when stuff like this was a hidden extra that came with the game? That was nice, now this is common practise
DLC is really getting out of hand

Yep, very true. They have DLC costume packs for all their current gen fighting games but at the very least you pay for 4 dollars for like 4 or 5 costumes (I guess) and not just one costume. They also have big costume packs for all characters that are about 18 bucks.
Man, this shit should be something that you unlock, not something that you pay for.
I might get strangled for this, but here's an idea: Why not make it to where this stuff is an unlock like in the old days (not a fucking MMO type unlock where you play five hundred hours and get a special pair of boots) but a more traditional unlock like "get all of the achievements" or "beat the game on hard in less than five hours" or something.
OR
Have the option to buy your way to it, but with the caveat that there's some sort of notification that you bought it but didn't earn it.
For me, personally, I could buy Super Amazing Wagon Adventure for less and have more fun.

They aren't. You get a "Whie Haired" Dante in his DmC attire for beating the game and you can also unlock "Coatless" Dante and by beating DMD you get "Super" Dante which like previous games allows for infinite devil trigger. The other costumes aren't part of that.@deskp said:

This is fine. Now if only there was a patch to make the combat like the older games.
You know whats funny...if it was like the older games, people like you would have complained that they hadnt changed it. Its a new game, from a new dev, dosent make it any less of a fun game to play, get over it.

And what? The combat is the best thing about this game. Flowing combos together with the different weapons and pushing and pulling enemies with your hook is a lot of fun.

This feels like a slap to the face of all the people who were complaining about the look of the new Dante.
I find it to be a genius move on Capcom's part.
Oh man, Capcom sure loves to twist the knife, huh? It would have been nice to have this as an unlock for beating the game once, but I guess why bother when you can make some cash on silly little cosmetic features that were standard in previous games.
Anyway, the Classic Dante skin looks really odd because Dante's face wasn't designed with that hair in mind, which looks like it was very hastily modeled and stapled onto his skull at the last minute. The DMC3 coat turned out pretty nicely though, especially in motion, and I greatly prefer it to the grungy attire Dante schlubs around normally. And the hair isn't so bad when you aren't forced to sit there and stare at how dumb it and all the faces in DmC look. Looks a hell of a lot better than the two other skins, at least.

Oh dear. I was joking. I've been pretty vocal about the game in the impressions thread. I think the combat in the new game is fantastic.
