You will be able to play it on American and European consoles.

Should be very exciting news to the American Cave/bullet hell fans who don't own Japanese Xbox 360 units. I imagine this means there won't be an official North American release. Perhaps Cave have given up both on finding an American retail publisher and the concept of self-publishing on Games on Demand...

Strictly speaking, none of the DDP DFK/Ressurection releases will be region-free: The JP releases (both of them) require a Japanese console, while the EU release will not work on a Japanese console (it will work, on a US console, which is exactly what Rising Star Games said.)

As for the DLC, there are still hopes that Microsoft will do the same thing they did with the Mushihime-sama Futari DLC (which, for those of you that didn't know, can STILL be bought on the NA Marketplace).

@kitsunezeta: I think Microsoft changed some policy after the release of the MushiFutari DLC, making it impossible for that kind of thing to happen again.

But you should still be able to get 1.51 and Black Label. You have to create a European Xbox Live account and acquire European points (I can't confirm this, but buying them on Xbox Live supposedly won't work if you're in America with an American console, so you have to import one of those points cards), but it should be possible.
