    Hello guys. Anyone there?

    No Caption Provided

This screenshot does not relate to what I am describing.
This screenshot does not relate to what I am describing.
I am now going to attempt to finish Donkey Kong 64. I started this game in 1999, and even after a decade of play, I have yet to finish the game. In this past decade, I have yet to find another game this obscenely and offensively huge.

Last night, I got back into it, and started going into the Pirate level. Using the dolphin ability of Lanky Kong, I was able to explore the surface of the water, and find multiple coins and bananas I never knew were there. I found a secret cave, full of giant coins towering above me. I jumped using Diddy Kong, and found a whole level I had yet to complete, inspired by Metal Gear Solid. I completed and found a new Golden Banana!

When I got out, I found the enemy containing a blueprint belonging to Donkey Kong. So I went down, changed to him, went back up, and defeated him, getting the blueprint that has been missing for over a decade. I returned it to the guy who wants the blueprints, and I found another Golden Banana!

For the first time in years, I have made progress. It is now half a percentage more complete than it was before. I feel great.

    Now it's your turn

If you began this game, and never finished it, we are going to do it together. This game is too overdosed with stuff to leave just lying there. You must defeat K. Krool and bring back Donkey Kong's bananas back to his stash.

    Hopefully, I am not alone.

My DK64 editorial in the Luchazine inspired this, didn't it?

After I originally finished making the article, I started on a new game a few days after. By the end of the week, I had completed it with EVERYTHING collected. All 4770 collectables.

I started the game in the 90's and didn't finish it, because it was a bad game.

Even at 9 years old, I was disappointed, because it wasn't anywhere near as good as the Donkey Kong Country games, which I loved.

EDIT: I looked it up on Metacritic, I guess it reviewed pretty well. All I remember from the game though is that it was fuckin' boring. It's been 10+ years though, maybe I'd give it another shot if I didn't have a dozens of others games I'd rather play first.

I love this game for the starting theme song alone.

This is a game I always wanted but never played. If I can find it cheap, I'll join you in your escapades.

Ive been through this exact sceneario for this HUGE game. I got 96 golden bananas and just couldnt go any farther.  I was 7 or 8 and i just didnt have the willpower to go any farther. I think im going to get back into this game if my save still exists or just start over if i have to. I remember enjoying the game but its just massive.

When I was a kid I thought the game was impossible to finish because it was too long. I haven't tried to jump back into it yet, but I don't think I have the time to invest in finishing it right now.

I finished it when I was younger with everything found, but I can't anymore.  The game seems like a chore by the time I get to Gloomy Galleon.

I reached Hideout Helm, and had about 156 golden bananas, but got stuck somewhere in the level, plus I was missing the Nintendo coin. This came is quite generous though as you only need 100 golden bananas to beat the game, which is 50% of the total amount, compared to Banjo Kazooie where you meed 94 jigsaws out of 100 to fight Gruntilda.

It took me a long time to beat that game. Keep at it! Also, make sure you get the real ending. I don't remember what you need to do offhand, but I vaguely remember there being an extra boss fight or something that was somewhat secret.

I played this game when I was about 12. Begged my dad for the game, when he brought it home and it wouldn't work I had to beg him for the ram upgrade as well. Spent months collecting enough bananas to make it to the final level but if I remember right the number of bananas you had dictated the time limit on the final level so I told myself I would collect more and go back. Evidently 12 year old Zack was a little short on willpower...
