    Overview

Donkey Kong Jr. Math is an educational action game that was one of the launch games for the US Nintendo Entertainment System. It uses the assets and mechanics of Donkey Kong Jr. and repurposes them to teach its audience various levels of mental arithmetic.

The core mode involves beating an opponent to the score number Donkey Kong is displaying. The player needs to find an operator - addition, subtraction, multiplication or division - and then a number. If the resulting total is the same as Donkey Kong's number, that player wins. There is also a separate single-player arithmetic test that posits difficult sums and has the player answer them by climbing vines.
