The Original Donkey Kong made his debut in the game of the same name, where he tossed barrels at his nemesis Mario. His grandson, Donkey Kong Jr., went on to create a legacy of his own in games such as Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.
Donkey Kong Jr. is, or at least has been considered, the son of the original Donkey Kong, who made his debut in the 1983 arcade classic which bore his name. He is actually a younger version of the current Donkey Kong.

A rooster who is an experienced driver, and rather, uh, cocky about his abilities.
Dumb Drum is a and Donkey Kong Country boss that appears to be a large oil drum with a skull-and-crossbones emblem. It attacks by slamming against the ground in an attempt to crush you, and will also pour enemies out of its body.
Enguarde the Swordfish is an animal buddy and recurring character who has aided the Kongs more than once in their adventures. This character gives the player increased speed on underwater areas as well as the ability to kill enemies with it's sharp bill.

Klubba is the gatekeeper of the tollbooths to the Lost World in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Koin is the holder of the DK Hero Coin in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, and must be hit from behind to release the coin.
