It's not free for PS Plus members yet. I thought it was supposed to be free immediately. Am I misunderstanding or did they make a mistake?

Edit: The PS Plus tab actually has two screens for resogun so I'm assuming it was a mistake. Or maybe they are waiting for the store update to be live worldwide.

It is free today. But the update hasn't officially gone live. You can check their blog to know when that is. It will be free then.

I'm actually unable to even log into the store right now.

The update for the store is still being pushed out. Some things are up now, but the Plus items haven't been implemented yet. Be patient, it will be available for free soon if you're a Plus member.

PANIC! EVERYONE PANIC!

This happens every time. It takes FOREVER for them to actually properly update the store, and it bothers me every time there's something that I want to play, and this week, there's two! People seem to not care that the Devil May Cry remake is also free (because it's PS3, last year game, etc), but hey, free game.

Ya, This is my first time experiencing it, and probably a lot of other peoples as well considering how big a deal something new coming out on PS4 is right now.

Looks like Don't Starve is now free for Plus members, at least it is for me. Not sure about DmC though.

It doesn't take forever. They update every week around 3-4 in the afternoon. It happens around the same time every week but people still freak out every week.

That said, they are both currently free on the SEN website.

Hey, I can freak out over when I get my "free" games if I want to! Also, it's after 4 and those games still aren't free.

They are free on the SEN website right now, I just "bought" them and started downloading Don't Starve.

@mooseymcman: Hmm, don't know what to tell you. If I navigate to the PS+ page on the website, DmC is the first banner ad, clicking that got me to its page with the free purchase.

The store update went live a couple of hours ago so everything should be there. I downloaded DmC and Don't Starve just fine.

It's free now for ps+. I'm currently starting a new game.

@jimmyfenix: it works surprisingly well on a gamepad. I bought the game awhile ago on PC and was asking myself how they were gonna adapt the controls. From my short experience playing, it is very smooth and well done, I didn't feel hindered at all once the ball started rolling.

@sackmanjones: The UI works reasonanly well (although it does take some getting used to), but the UI feels a bit small for a TV. I wish I could scale it.

Should I play Don't Starve or DmC? Looking foreword to Brothers for free in a few weeks.

@nightriff: DmC, it has an end, Don't Starve just keeps going forever.

@nightriff: I would play DMC first as Don't starve can take some time getting used to.

I really like the controls too. I've been dicking around but I can't seem to set a trap. Any suggestions?

@spraynardtatum: ya, you should just be able to highlight the trap with the right stick and it'll prompt you with a few options you can choose with the d-pad. There should be one that just says drop and it should to the trick. You can also put bait under the trap by highlighting food and walking to a downed trap.

Boy I can see why the graphical power-house of a game needs to be on PS4 only.

Seriously no PS Vita/PS3 version?

@pandabear: It's not about graphics, it's about ease of development. Porting from the PC to the PS4 is much easier than to the PS3.

This. PS4 uses x86 file system which is the same file system that windows uses thus its for the most part a straight up port of the PC version.

Yep, thanks. I loved this game on pc but I always played with the keyboard and it's been awhile.

then 3 hours pass by and i'm on day 21 of "not starving"

All this wait and build up for Don't Starve on PS4, and I am super disappointed with it. I should have just played it on PC last year. I probably would have liked it.

i won this game on a stream giveaway played an hour of it and never touched it again so boring

YUPPPPPP! I played a bit on pc and just booted up the PS4 version to see how it was. 2 hours have passed before I even noticed.

@sterling: if you don't like it on Ps4 I don't see how playing on a pc would change that.

@sackmanjones: I would have played it when it came out, so no long wait + crazy hype for it on PS4 is what I am saying. Plus most of my complaints are how the game pad is mapped. I might still pick this up off steam. Some games just don't port to a game pad well. I feel like this is one of them.

I think it plays just fine on pad much more so than the console ports of stuff like say Terarria.

I think the game is really friggin cool, but the lack of any rewards makes it really hard to keep replaying. I die after many days of survival and have nothing to show for it. It all seems rather pointless...

I still can't find it on the European store. Is there something I'm missing? I go into the part for Exclusive Prices for PS+, but can't find it anywhere. Not even in the huge list of every game on the store

It was due out yesterday in the US and today in the EU. It'll probably go live some point this afternoon over here.

@sterling: like Demoskinos said, the controller works just as good as the pc controls. I've played it on the pc and I almost prefer the gamepad but maybe that's just cause the DS4 is so damn good.

I'm really enjoying it so far. Farthest I've gotten is day 4, though.

The game is super awesome. A must buy, especially for free

@tearhead: Its a game abou surviving as long as you can building new stuff and then learning and applying lessons from past failures. There isn't really any ultimate goal. Like minecraft its just about playing with no real end. If playing itself isn't its own reward to you it might not be the game for you.

Man this game is fun. Just got to day 13, builded a nice base and then got murdered by a couple of ghosts. It seems you shouldn't go digging graves after it gets dark.

It is pretty awesome, that they are "giving" this away as a plus game.
