Hey dusters. I just rented doom. So far I've gone through the first level and loves it. But when the game tries to load the second level it locks up and then jumps to the main menu. So my question is: was this a common problem at launch? I don't have internet other than on my phone at the moment and before I go through the hassle of bringing my Xbox to where I can download the 18gb of patches. I want to make sure they will even fix it.

Never heard of this before with the exception of loading a same-game from an older version.

Just replay the first mission, it gets a lot better but those beginning levels become easier and easier. I think I played through it 4 times already?

You might be better off replaying it as opposed to downloading then.
