What do you think about Brad's "Daily Dota" Content?

Remember all the dumb "Brad's leaving" stuff? Well, Dave left.
I'd rather the resources be put toward a Let's Play/Endurance Run style of content. But I suppose that makes too much sense.

Daily DOTA reminds me of the intern Facebook endurance run
The fact that Betting The Farmville got to be on the main site, and the Fear Gauntlet didn't, is one of the unforgivable sins of Giant Bomb.
I don't like DOTA despite understanding it, and when I watched the first couple episodes, Brad was so bad at the game it hurt to watch. I assume he's improved since then, but that wouldn't make me like DOTA. To be honest, the only Brad-based content I've really enjoyed is the Doom Breaking Brad and the Starcraft TNTs, though, so I'm not really sure what I want from him. Just more attention for a game that I think gets too much attention already for what it is.
Watching Dota being played by other people is rather boring, but I'm glad Brad is finally contributing to putting up premium content.
I've been watching it after I play DOTA. In the same way I enjoy other Giantbomb content, I watch DOTA videos when I go to bed because I enjoy the people involved.
The DOTA community in the client is very different from anyone who experiences it outside the game. Sports work the same way, where you can say "I would have thrown that football just 5 yards more." Or "I could have easily passed to Tim Duncan there."
When I watch it, it's people I am aware of from the site like Matt Bodega and Brad, playing the game I know. When I see it, I'm invested in event. It's a solid piece of entertainment that I would rather watch over some shaky Arrested Development premiere. I'm voting with my buttons and time on the things I enjoy.
i'm a fan. not a huge DOTA2 fan, i've played around with bots a little but no real games. i like watching and learning about the game and the culture that's sprung up around it. and i like brad and the matt's and their exchanges while they play. it's definitely a good second monitor filler.
i wrote a tl;dr blogpost about how DOTA2 is the new Magic: the Gathering if anyone is interested.
sure it's been mentioned already but this may be how he justifies an hour of dota a day to the missus :P (i keed... probably...)
I tried to watch the first couple episodes but got bored so, so, so quickly. I like watching SC2 but this MOBA stuff just puts me to sleep. There seem to be a good number of people interested in it though so I guess it's okay?
Then I read this. Now I just don't know anything anymore.
Brad enjoys playing Dota 2 and streaming it, people enjoy watching him play Dota 2. I see no problem with that, but I find it mindblowing that people complain about it. As if this was preventing us from getting an Endurance Run or any other extensive content. Not every single piece of content on Giant Bomb has to be tailored to your own, personal taste, duders.
It's fun to watch once in awhile...I have been too busy to check it out consistently, but I appreciate the effort!
I actively hate it when people use "Meh" as a shorthanded dismissal, but even I think The Daily Dota is "Meh".
It's great. I don't see how anyone could complain that Brad is producing daily, hour long plus videos for the site.
Well, I mean, not everyone is interested in Dota. So for a lot of people its daily, hour plus long content we have no interest in.

Oh I didn't even realize that, god damn it! I liked Fear Gauntlet it was actually something meaningful that interns did.
I haven't really watched it. That said, I love that Brad is doing it because Dota is an incredible game and I'm glad that someone in the office is really getting into it.
And even though I'm not personally watching it, I like that others are and are hopefully getting into dota themselves. It's difficulty really gets blown out of proportion hardcore by most of the community. Yes, Dota has one of the biggest learning curves (in terms of knowledge, mechanically it isn't as difficult) out there. What people don't realize is that stuff comes over time, and those in the low end of matchmaking aren't going to need to know all of that stuff anyways.
Hopefully people seeing someone like Brad learn the ropes will get them interested.
It's fine. I watch it mostly because of the guys on Team Brad: Pascual, Crispy, Kessler (he's alright in my books, come at me.) Even if I don't fully understand every situation, it's still fun to watch the #BigPlays.
Also, we are getting content in this supposedly "dry" period of time, so whatever.
BMC: Brad + Vinny + control room= 3 people
Breaking Brad: Brad + 1-2 other staffers + control room = 3-4 people.
Endurance Run: Vinny + Jeff (or variations) + control room = 3 people.
Daily Dota: Brad = 1 person
Also keep in mine, Brad is the only one not currently wrapped up in other things.
Jeff is in charge of the site in general and is going to Judge's week, PS4/XONE reveals, etc (and appears to have had quite a bit of family turmoil over the last year as well).
Ryan is planning for E3, running the GB store and preparing for a wedding.
Vinny is planning for E3, managing all of GB's video content and raising his son.
Patrick is in charge of news and interviews and is planning his move back to Chicago.
Drew is on vacation and would otherwise be swamped in video editing.
Brad is normally the one who cranks out reviews at a ridiculous pace, but there are no games coming out. That's not to say he's not busy, and honestly I have no idea what the true division of labor is, but I think it's safe to assume that he's the only one with a whole lot of free time, and he has a game that he's really enjoying. Him playing it isn't affecting the rest of the site; if they were really in a position to be producing a lot of "real" content, there would be nothing stopping Brad from playing DOTA from, say, 12-2, then streaming an hour and a half of BMC after that.
tl;dr: Stop bitching about additional content, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't worth producing.
I have a slight interest in Dota 2, but it's not enough to regularly watch or play the game. I have not watched Daily DotA, and unless DotA becomes incredibly interesting to me, it will probably stay that way.
I really dig it. There is something kind of awesome watching games like this. I have definitely put a few more hours then i would have into DOTA, but it is not my cup of tea. The content is great though! (PS NEED BRAD MUIR :D)
It's pretty good from what I've seen. It's kind of hard to figure out what's going on at times, but since Brad is still relatively new at the game, he needs to have a lot of things explained to him, which in turn helps me as a viewer. Even though I don't ever want to play a moba, I think I now have a healthy appreciation for that style of game. If this feature keeps going for a while, I might still catch a couple of matches, but that's about it.
