What other origins would you like to see?

I think it would be awesome to have a apostate origin, or maybe a mercenary one.

None. "Origins" is an overused subtitle for video games. 11 games are enough.

Human commoner and Tranquil would be cool. I dunno how you'd work in the creepy tranquil though.

yeah being a tranquil awesome it would make all the conversation pretty funny
your only choices to any conversation would be yes or no.
"what do you think we do"
"yes"
"what do you mean yes?"
"*empty stare*"

What does his question have to do with any other games? He's talking about the origins in the game.

Screw Tranquils, I demand Malkavians!

I know. But this was as good an oppurtunity as any to rant about subtitles.

malkavians and apostates or are the same thing
#14 Posted by pornstorestiffi (4851 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

I'm fine with the ones that already are in the game. But it would be cool with a werewolf one, but that will never happen.

#15 Posted by trophyhunter (5804 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

you what a darkspawn lord would be unbelievably awesome
it's would be a completely new game for that

If this game has some kinda Sean Connery english speaking good dragon, I need to play that dude's story. And if this game doesn't have that, fuck this game till it has that.

Now returning to the real subject...

how about the story of a Tranquil ? or i it Tranquile

no emotions, keeping his cool under crazy circonstances, no caring about anything outside of getting the job done...
#20 Posted by ArbitraryWater (8987 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

I recall reading that there was a human commoner origin that was cut because it didn't fit thematically with the rest of the game. I guess I would like to see that?

#21 Edited by Death_Unicorn (2813 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

An Apostate.
The Human Commoner.
A Qunari.
A Human from outside of Ferelden, for example, you have been exiled from your country or something like that.
Just a few that came to my mind.

#22 Posted by Alphawolfy (321 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

I would like to see somewhere outside of Ferelden. Maybe a Qunari, or an Antivan Crow...

@CharleyTony: And the great sex scenes.

Morrigan: That felt so GOOD!

Tranquil: What is good? I do not understand the meaning of this....
#25 Posted by CharleyTony (922 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago
@Death_Unicorn:
Morrigan: I feel so hot right now !!!
Tranquil: You don't seem to have a fever. Why are you spreding lies ?
Morrigan: Just do me not, in front of everyone !!!
Tranquil: Your sentence does not contain enough information for me to understand what you are asking me to do.
Morrigan: I'm asking you to tell Alistair to join me in my tent. Can you do that ?!?
#26 Posted by Galiant (2126 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

Qunari would be cool.

I was also hoping for some kind of a human commoner, but alas.

#27 Posted by Teran (877 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago
@nanikore: I see "reading comprehension" is not your middle name.

I'd have liked to see an origin like what one of the guys who failed the blood drinking test had... bandit (human commoner).

From everything stated in the context of the game, playing as a tranquil would be pointless, since they have no real power besides crafting. You would be useless in a fight. You wouldn't really have many options in the dialogue tree. It wouldn't make any sense Unless...

My choice for characters I'd like to see was obvious from the moment I met Sten. It seemed weird that the Qunari wasn't a playable race, but then, I'm sure there's a reason Bioware chose it to be so.
Other obvious choices would have been an actual enslaved elf, an Ash Warrior, an Apostate mage on the run, or even a Blood Mage, although that last option would be more difficult to work out a story for, since it seems hard to believe Duncan would ever recruit a Blood Mage.

And my joke choice: a chanter board person. You'd have to apply the right chant verses to all your dialogue choices to try and make people understand what you're trying to say.

Chasind, human commoner, Qunari, Orleisian, Antivan.

Golem.

You know you want to be a Golem, don't lie.

that would actually be pretty awesome if your three dialogue options were 1. Yes 2. No 3. Empty Stare for every single conversation. if only for 'teh epic lulz' bioware should do it as dlc

I want to be able to play as Sandal, the dwarven retard. (Named after a shoe-type? http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&source=hp&q=sandal&gbv=2&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g10 )

#33 Posted by SonicFire (815 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

I'd just have been happy if you could do any class combination with the existing origins...

#34 Posted by Aeterna (1110 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

As said before; a Qunari, orlesian/antivan traveller, apostate, Chasind/Ash warrior.

I'm sure there's looots of more options that I'm forgetting but I get the feeling that they'll be adding in new areas with possible new origins.

#35 Posted by xCPx_Bebi_Primo (206 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

Maybe an Outcast Warden. That would be awesome. Like, you were a warden, but you've been wrongly outcast for *insert reason here,* and, unable to aid your fellow wardens at Ostagar, you come across Alistair and the opportunity to reclaim your good name.

#36 Posted by rhodric (281 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

I want me some Sandal origins. Where did he get the power to wipe out hordes of darkspawns? We may never know.

#37 Posted by Time_Lord (660 posts) - 3 years, 5 months ago

How about apostate origin that would be cool.
