Add a 'YOU' to the title. Insomnia is messing me up.

Since us console gamers have to settle with what DLC Bioware gives us and we don't enjoy the luxury of custom DLC.  I would like to know which features, places, items , and all those goodies that game like this can offer, would you like to see in the future. I for on would like to see:

    • Respect option - I know I am not the only who dropped points into a skill they later found no use for.
    • More Items for mages - I haven't really come across any good staffs or robes or capes for my mages in quite some time. I am still using the same staff I got in the Warden's Keep quest and that was over 40 hours, of game-time, ago.
    • I know I would love to be able to create new weapons and armor for my party.
    • The ability to enchant Bows and Staffs.
    • I know it will never happen But I wish Bioware included a potion that restores Stamina. It seems kinda odd to that they will have a potion that restores Mana (as they should have) but not one that restores Stamina.
    • More Items in general. I just seems to find the same items over and over again.
    • i wish the console version will say at Pause even after you issued a command to a party member. I am just not liking the fact that every time I issue a part member to use either his abilities or statues effect the game unpauses for you.
    • Better quest management. By that I mean that quests can sometime get extremely vague. I just wish when you mark a certain quest as active it would give a general idea of where to find it.
    • Put the motha effin' storage chest in my camp and not in another location which I have to travel to just to use my storage locker.

     That's pretty much it...for now.

More races/classes to choose to play as.

On the storage chest subject: include a story element that grants magical capabilities so one can put stuff in one and retrieve it from another. Resident Evil style. Or maybe a pack mule character than can make trips like Escargot Express in Earthbound?

I would pay $10 for mouse and keyboard support on the 360 version along with an action bar...basically making it the PC version.

Orlais, the city of hot french-accented chicks. A better persistent blood effect would be nice, too, something not so freckle-looking.

A proper full expansion.  I really can't say when and where in the storyline it should take place though.

The console version stays paused if you keep holding the trigger while selecting all your commands, it can be a bit awkward though.

Getting a re-spec option for the un-modded game should be a pretty high priority.

I want to see longer DLC; At least one real expansion would be nice.

    Yes!

Somewhat related to the quest management of the OP, I would like the option to delete or give up quests. There's some side quests from the boards or codexes just didn't interest me, or seem worthwhile doing, and I didn't like that they clogged up questlog. Even if they were moved somewhere else with the words "abandoned because you're a coward" on it would be fine. Although, really thats more patch material.

Whatever it is that they offer, I hope that has a more substantial quest then what they put out already, or at least is much more reasonable priced

Non Akward romance scenes.  Mass Effect did it right.  I can understand Bioware being conservative after the Mass Effect fallout, but come on.  Whats in Dragon age is garbage.

I would also like to see an expansion.  Perhaps it could be something to do with Dragons.  There were only three Dragon fights in the game and they were the most challanging and most fun fights in the entire game.  I would love to see a Dragon focused quest of some kind.  Perhaps a Dragon from one of the other continents wants to roost in Orzamar or the Mages Tower or something.  I dont know.  Just throwing things out there.

I have the 360 version, and would very much like:

    • The camera angle to change to a wider view when issuing commands to your party, especially when choosing an AoE attack like bombs or spells.
    • Stamina restoring potions
    • More enchantment options, like staves, armor, and bows
    • Better inventory management - that's a pretty vague statement, but Bioware's games always suck at this.
    • More sensible options during combat - you shouldn't be able to brew potions, poisons or traps, nor change equipment in battle.
    • A storage locker in camp
    • The dog as a uncontrollable NPC who can be a 5th party member (though with reduced stats and skills for balance purposes) - I don't really feel that a dog is a proper party member that takes up one of four slots.  You could also load him up with equipment and have him run it back to camp at the cost of not having him for combat while he's away.
    • Beds in taverns (or hospitals in town) to heal injuries.

I was actually hoping for that option to be present on the PS3 version since the PS3 supports K&M natively but sadly it does not. I'm afraid that's not going to happen. MS has strict rules about which peripherals people use when gaming on the 360 meaning they have to be using the 360 controller. MS does not like having 3rd part accessories to be used on the 360 so unless they [MS] come up with an official K&M for the 360 you won't see this game, or any for that matter, using that input device.

The other issue is that Sony and MS have a rule about multi plat games that states that they have to be the same. WHile Sony offer a native Keyboard and Mouse support on the PS3 I've yet to see a game fully support them unless you are using a third party converter that allows you to use a K&M input and that's mainly for FPS game where the UI is not all that different then the PC counterpart.

Less lazy armour and weapon design.  What there was was mostly great, but there wasn't enough variety.  Even the high-end unique pieces (Juggernaut and Wade's Superior Dragon Armour for example) are just the same design in a different colour.  The square shields were kinda dumb looking too.

Not likely to happen I guess, but more party characters added into the original campaign would really help that game too.

TBH, the only thing likely to get me to go back to Dragon Age would be a full expansion.  They should employ Ossian Studios to work up an 'adventure pack', even if it isn't fully voiced - Mysteries of Westgate was awesome.

I bet if you wait a year or two (or five) somebody will have remade Baldur's Gate with the PC toolset.

    • Respec option.
    • More variation in armor and weapons, or at least have different bonus effects on the same piece/set of armor/weapon.
    • Like the bullet-point above, but concerning Mages, more items for the love of god, the selection is minimal.
    • Enchantments for all items meaning weapons, wands, armor.
    • After beating the game give us the option to play the side quests we didn't finish.
    • After beating the game, let us start a new game but keep all stats from the character, like Mass Effect 1.
    • A replacement for the radial wheel, it takes up too much screen real-estate and selecting enemies can be a pain in the ass.
    • When paused stay paused, so i don't have to hold down a damn button for it to do so.
    • Storage from the get go.
    • Better enemy AI, i'm tired of having two warriors taunt and they still go after main character.
    • Restore stamina potion.
    • Maybe give a bit more money from completing quests, so you don't have to pick up and sell every thing that you come across.

@pornstorestiffi: You can toggle between holding onto the LT button or just tapping it to pause in the radical menu. It can be found within the game options.

And we need Orlais. That place sounds so awesome.

you see I've always wondered if you can get that scene with Shale (as i have the delux version) it would be damn right unsettling to see, pipping the love scene in Avatar just a bit, and even that was creepy, and in 3-D. oh god flashbacks....................

I think that a nice expansion about reclaiming old dwarven territory and reconnecting the old dwarven kingdoms would be pretty cool. or maybe a trip to antiva, seeing as you're invited there my the master crow guy.

The ability to respec without resorting to cheats (and a non-option to console players) would actually be nice. After my first playthrough, I learned a lot about what abilities work well and what don't. In a way, that's fine, because it means I can just start a new game knowing what I know now (which I did). However, it leaves my first character a little gimped through choices I made early on.

Items for mages wasn't really an issue. Sure, there are a lot fewer of them than warrior or even rogue classes get, but the draw of being a mage is getting new spells, not loot. Warriors rely on new gear to get better, while a mage just supplements his/her spells. Plus, that Warden's keep wand is one of the most powerful in the game, already. I also saved up and bought the most expensive wand in the game, that I'm aware of (the one that costs 100 something gold).

Bows aren't enchanted because the arrows you find are basically their enchantment. I know, that kind of sucks once you start running out (or decide to save them all for a rainy day occasion and wind up never using them), but I can see where they're coming from in not allowing bows to be more specifically enchanted. They should at least make enchanted arrows more readily available. Staves, on the other hand, totally should be. It would be much better to have a rune that ups your fire damage by, say, 20%, than to have to buy a staff with those specific properties.

Stamina and Mana are a lot different. Mages rely on their mana to be of any use, while Warrior's abilities are all... again, supplemental. They're supposed to be limited. That does kinda suck for the battles that tend to go on longer, but I think it's just a balance issue that they chose the right option to control.

Wow, the console version unpause issue sounds terrible. That seems like it would make some battles neigh un-winnable on higher difficulties.

Storage chest is a complete pain in the ass, and it should either have been included with the game in the first place or just never used completely. I didn't have it on my first playthrough, and I actually find not using it to be a good thing, since all unused items will be sold off for gold as they should be.

But all I want out of the DLC is more adventuring. That extra origin story sounds nice. Maybe new playable classes and/or races. So long as they don't muck up what they already have by releasing abilities that are too ridiculous, anyway. There's plenty they could do with the expansion, be it a completely new offshoot or tying up loose ends left by the game's ending(s). Although, to be honest, that's all stuff I'm hoping for out of a sequel. Unless it were going to be some sort of epic Throne of Bhaal type stuff to wrap up this specific character's story so that you start from scratch with Dragon Age 2.

@AndrewB:  I understand about the whole Stamina issue and the balance issue but as you pointed out when the battles linger on (and they tend to do that in this game) stamina becomes as important as mana. But I completely understand why they did it though, they want to make you use the appropriate command at the right time but at higher level trying to babysit all of them becomes a chore and just stops being fun and the tactics menu can do so much and you just end up issuing all the commands yourself and end up just using 4 or 5 of the tactics slots.

@Mordukai: The way I played it, it was easier to give people direct commands 90% of the time, anyway. It kind of plays like an MMO or a more classic RPG, in that regard. But yeah, the fact that they have mages with a rejuvenate spell, which is effectively a stamina potion, both sort of makes up for that, yet at the same time, makes the fact that they don't have stamina potions a little weird. They could at least have them drop less frequently/make them harder to make. It would be nice to have that tactical option to choose when you need to start using more abilities.

Although I found most warrior abilities useless in the harder fights, anyway. They're pretty much there to soak up damage.
