Krillin no contest. He's one of the weakest but at least he helps. He's done heroic things right before getting beat down. Yamcha is just kind of around and when he does fight he loses. I don't remember him ever doing anything helpful in Z but it's been awhile. Plus Krillin gets bonus points for being Gokus best pal and then being his son's friend as well. He was usually there to look out for Gohan.

Krillin is definitely stronger but Yamcha's wolf fang fist is a cooler move than either destructo disc or solar flare. It was like a 20 hit combo by itself in the games.

I haven't listened to today's beastcast yet, but Krillin's my choice. He's not a scumbag father like Goku and knows when to give up the fight game to be a family man.

I've never been too invested in whatever Yamcha has done. He's always seemed like a bum to me, and his only use in a fight that I can remember has been to be one of the shocked faces that the camera cuts to whenever somebody else does something.

Krillin is the true hero. He's the Neville Longbottom of Dragonball.

I always had a soft spot for Krillin. I barely remember who Yamcha is.

I've never read actual Dragon Ball (sans Z), so I don't feel ready to actually vote having not seen of what Yamcha's been up to.

He does play baseball which is pretty cool, though.

Krillin is the hardest working guy in the universe. He trains to be a great fighter, granted he can't be on Sayan level but he has to be the strongest human. He has a family (granted his wife is a robot and they some how have a daughter). He also works a day job to provide for them. When he needed to he gave up fighting to take care of his family, unlike the Super Sayan Deadbeats.

What does Yamcha have? He plays baseball or something and he used to just rob people on the road, straight up Bandit style.

Krillin is also a cool dad

To be honest, my memory on DBZ outside of anything that DBZ Abridged has covered is pretty suspect. But Krillin actually does things, whereas Yamcha usually just gets injured or murdered almost immediately.

Anybody with any DBZ knowledge knows that Krillin is literally the strongest human alive, who is not partial saiyan.

If I remember right, they use the dragon to turn her into a human after they bring her back to life? I haven't seen the full series since I was a kid, but that is how I remember it at least.

I feel like Yamcha is one of the more closest things to a dudebro on that show so fuck him. Krillin will eat shit plenty of times but at least he tries his hardest.

#17 and #18 are cyborgs. The term used for them in Japanese (jinzou ningen) usually refers to androids, and it's translated this way in the dub. But it literally means "artificial human" and can also refer to cyborgs.

I think 17 and 18 were part human, part android, and the dragon removed the explosives from their insides? So they can still live regular people lives. I think 16 was fully android. Going off half memory half DBZA though, so not entirely sure.

Without krillin, there might not be super saiyans or at least Goku wouldn't be.

Best thing that Yamchu ever did was stop dating Bulma so that Trunks could be born and come from the future to rescue Goku.

Krillin obviously. The only human that always has Goku's back and is probably the strongest human character. Can also kill a saiyan, and almost did if it wasn't for Vegeta warning Nappa.

Yamcha was my favourite when I was a kid growing up

I always assumed that Tenshinhan/Tien was the strongest human. Assuming the man with an eyeball on his forehead is in fact human, at least.

They're both jobbers in Z, arguably Krillin was a jobber in Dragonball.m but after getting merced by a Saibaman like a loser Yamaha basically never fights again while Krillin is still valiantly out there and marries a robot lady

There's your answer. Krillin is, I believe, the strongest human on Earth by the end of the series (if you don't count cyborgs).

@bbalpert The eye on Tien's forehead is the spiritual "open third eye." He's fully human and by franchise's end ranks below Krill-dog in strength.

In all seriousness though, Yamcha was killed by a Saibaman. At least when Krillin dies, his death forces a Super-Saiyan-ing... I just don't remember any real character traits of Yamcha because he wasn't around very much. He's never a crucial part of a battle (Krillin's involved in at least 5 I can think of off the top of my head) and he seems to be what Goku would have been if he'd been purely human and more of a jock. He perfectly fills the role of "Guy in orange #3."

Yamcha is arguably the strongest enemy in Xenoverse 2, so there's that.

I didn't know this was a contentious point. As a kid i always felt like Krillin was actually strong while Yamcha was the dissapointing one with 1-2 highlights to make people feel good about him. For some reason, when i first started watching DBZ i was rooting for Yamcha to become a badass. Something about him having all that hair and a similar outfit to Goku i guess.

This isn't even a fair question. Krillin is pretty much the most powerful human in the entire series, he's a solid bro and he just has significantly more screen time. Yamcha is kinda left by the wayside and never comes back.

I personally think Tien is pretty cool. Tien guys, right? Right?

Krillin. He's died 4 times (5 if you count the alternate future where the androids kill pretty much everyone). Once in Dragon Ball, twice in DBZ (Frieza and Buu), and once again in DB GT.

Yamcha has only been killed twice (3 if you count his alternate future death), and all of those fit into DBZ. A Saibaman used self destruct on him and he was turned into chocolate and eaten by Super Bu.

Krillin is Goku's first rival! He's fun, funny, a good early competitor and a longtime friend. Yamcha is this asshole who tried to rob him and got beat up, and then decided to tag along instead. There's just no comparison. Yamcha gets a single good scene in the entire series when he shows off his new controllable energy ball technique... and then gets beaten in a single hit.

For those who don't know, Krillin is the short bald guy in orange and Yamcha is the taller guy wearing orange and has hair.

Krillan looks like Charlie Brown without a nose while Yamcha looks like a knock-off Goku with dumber hair. So Krillan wins hands down.

Krillin for me, but Yamcha still has his moments. In fact, they're both kind of big deals for the first couple seasons of Dragon Ball. I feel like everyone that has only watched Z never really has seen these two actually be of use. Once upon a time Krillin could go toe-to-toe with Goku and the wolf fang fist was a top 5 move.

But, overall Krillin has had the better life. Yamcha got his girl stolen by the prince of all saiyans himself, Vegeta and Krillin marries one of the more stronger women in the entire series and had a family.

Yamcha played baseball in his retirement (although you can consider it cheating to an extent) and Krillin became a police officer in his retirement. So slight nod to Yamcha for the better pay.

Yamcha died to a fucking Saibaman of all things. Krillin lasted on Namek, stood tall over Vegeta and spared his life, held his own against the Ginyu Force, and made it all the way to Friezas final form before finally getting killed by him. MAJOR points to Krillin in this regard.

Krillin is a fucking hero on the inside. Yamcha is a wuss, through and through. He's also a tool.
