Two of the oldest Japanese RPGs are now remade and compiled into a single package for SNES and Game Boy Color, for the pleasure of genre enthusiasts and retro gamers alike
Dragon Warrior I & II is a compilationn of the two of the oldest Japanese role-playing games ever released. It was localized in English for its North American release in 2000. Both of these classic Japanese RPG's played an important role back in the Famicom days in laying the foundation of the genre. Many of the genre staples like turn-based battle system and experience points are a part and parcel of both these games. Dragon Warrior I tells a very simple tale of a warrior called The Hero who must save the world from the wrath of the evil Dragon Lord. The first game of the series only has a single playable character. Dragon Warrior II released in 1987 in Japan develops its predecessor's strength by increasing the number of playable characters from one to four. It also boasted of an intricate plot for it's time.| Game Name | Dragon Warrior I & II |
