I'm debating on buying it for the PS3. I'll see if I'm going to pull the trigger on that soon.

You"ll see the similarities, both games had weird and unique designs. Though oden sphere got pretty hard..

Shame it's not crossbuy. I'd not hesitate for a second if it was. It is crossplay however.

The art style as a whole is nice.

But some of the character designs are just overly blatant.

I think that the art style is pretty cool and distinctive (just like George Kamitani's other games), it's just a handful of the character designs that are off-putting in a "this is why it's embarrassing to play and talk about video games" kind of way. Also, I don't think you should be afraid of posting game art here, you can pretty easily see the characters in question by visiting the game's main wiki page.

If its really embarrassing to play for you then do not play it. This game was not made for a wider audience it was made for nerds and fans.

Its a unique artstyle, I believe Odin Sphere and Muramasa did it before.

I really never get that why is absolute and totally brutal violence totally fine in America and any even slight serialized stuff not? For people really concerned about other people opinion you guys should also be embarresed to play really violent games. Are you?

But every character has these extravagant proportions. There is nothing wrong with it it is called art. Just like you see very strange art and proportions in museums as well.

Even crazier, some of those big breasted ladies have naturally big boobs.

I think they are pretty interesting. Maybe not the Sorceress but it fits the style of the game. But you are not really the one who was embarrassed about this design. If you find it lazy its totally fine if you find it embarrassing or even more it is not.

But again we people in Europe react differently about nudity and sexualized media^

Ridiculous fanservice, happens in a hell of a lot of games though I guess it's more frequent in Japanese than otherwise.

They will not fight some Cops or Robbers or fight against some speeding tickets. As for your Boob Comment. I am pretty sure such woman exist. Maybe they do not have such a figure but natural boobs can get very big.

Says who? I've seen woman with natural boobs that would blow your mind at how ridiculously large they are. Like RIDICULOUSLY. And who's to say they can't be fighters. I mean yeah, it makes sense since the back pain and what not, but who are you to say who can and cannot fight based on boob size.

All of the character designs in the game are ridiculously proportioned. I find it strange people seem specifically caught up only with the mammaries.

I think it looks gorgeous.

From what I've seen so far the art looks like a mixed bag. Love the background art and most enemy designs, but the player characters look weird as fuck.

Those monsterous boobs also have ridiculous physics attached to them. I don't find it sexy or funny, the rate that those flesh balloons flop around mid spell is bordering on disturbing.

Apparently this is a really big deal. I have always kind of thought Vanillaware's stuff looked like this. There were some pretty outrageous bosses in Muramasa, and that was aimed at a younger audience than this.

It's appealing, I'm not gonna lie. I kind of love the whole thing though. That Dwarf is RIDICULOUS.

I know for a fact that if it wasn't Japanese I would have a far harder time with it. I just can't tell if that says more about me or Western culture.

George Kamitani's art style is godlike. The best 2D artsyle games have to offer.

All others should hang their heads in shame.
