    Hi there -

I have just started playing the game and I bought the 2000 RC pack and got myself a level 23 pawn. Now, I'm only on level 13 so... are my enemies set on level 23 or around my level? It just seems that the enemies, even simple bandits, are quite tough to beat (or maybe I'm just sucking at combat, lol) so I'm just wondering if because I have employed a high level pawn, it makes the game more difficult for me?

Also how sucky is the save option? When I manually save it, the auto-save overrides it anyway so if I want to go back to my manual save, I can't. That sucks!

I'm not sure about story quests but all 'world' mobs are set levels. So think of an MMO with its level specific areas.

For the auto save, I'm sure it only save is like a quick save, so you have two saves while you are playing. The manual save (hard save) and the auto save which happens when you leave towns or when quests end (I think that's how it works).

Monsters don't scale with player or pawn level. They can respawn with a bit tougher versions/models as you progress through the story but that is about it.

Combat can be a bit tough at the start of the game so you're all right.

Even tho the game says you only have one save, there are actually 2 saves. One is the autosave/checkpoint save that the game does when taking on quests or leaving towns, the other is your own hard save (but hard save can be autosaved over after a time).

If you want to restart from your hard save that has been done after the autosave then you need to quit the game without saving and load it from the main menu. (that is if you want to manual load without the death prompt) Otherwise its either only a restart from checkpoint via menu option or 2 choices when you die. It's a hella clumsy save/load system.

    Thanks for the answers, guys!

I'm thinking of restarting the game as a fighter. I was a strider but yeah, not liking it much. I tried mage before that and yeah, same thing, didn't really suit my play style, lol.

I love the character creation in this game. My character actually looks good. So often, with character creation, no matter how hard I try, I always end up with a very ugly character.

Enemies level only increases based on how far along the story is progressed.

Enemies aren't affected, but your experience is. The higher level your pawns are compared to the mob's, the less experience you'll get.
