Made a mistake. Anybody else?

I have made a dumb move. I am not too far into the game, but I decided to do one of the escort jobs for the innkeeper at the capital. I was ambushed not far down the road and was unable to keep him safe. He is quite dead now and I am without a pretty useful resting spot. Now when I want to store items I have to go off course and take more time better spent slashing griffins. Ah well.

Am I the only one who screwed up? Done anything worse?

No. He will respawn in 7 ingame days. Just wait.

Yeah I made that mistake too, although I planted a portcrystal to one of the other resting spots. Burned through quite a few ferrystones going to and from town. Didnt know that he'd respawn. figured the game was evil enough to keep him dead.

Yeah, any important NPC respawn in a week's time from the in-game passage of time.

Oh I totally messed up on a couple quests.

Totally missed a quest tree I wanted to do on the first playthrough. Still love this game though.

You might end up glad that innkeeper died, I had a hard time keeping that dude from being my "love interest" until I figured out the unsheathing weapon trick.

Picking him up and throwing him into a wall works wonders too.
