Side Quests...where are they?

So, where are all the side quests? I've seen two notice boards in the big city but one contains only escort mission and the other contains only Kill "X" creature so many times quests. Wheres the actual sidequests at? =\

There should be NPCs walking around with red question mark bubbles over there heads.

NPCs with Green bubbles above their head will give you new quests.

There are plenty of side quests in the game.  Almost too many.  Just remember to talk to everyone and visit every message board you see in game to grab the latest. 
 
But remember, some side quests can be lost if you advance too far.  I had a couple from early in the game and when I went to the capital, it said I lost a few of them.  It's not a biggie, but something to be aware of.

Oh! That sounds like a pretty important detail. You could miss quite a lot of content that way...

As others have said: people walking around and bulletin boards in each settlement also have quests.

It seems some quests 'time out' and then come back a game week later...so this is one issue I have with the game as I would have hoped it would give you a warning if a quest was about to go from the notice boards.but I guess thats what game+ is for...
