    Ok I'm watching the quick look and the guys are saying "this feels exactly like a basic cable television show" and I have to finally say something: it is!

    Ever since the first trailer for this game I've bin thinking "Life On Mars". It was super popular in Britain a few years ago:

    Here's the USA version that might look a bit more familiar:

    Please tell me I'm not the only person thinking this.

    Everyone is thinking it as Brad mentioned Life on Mars specifically.

    @CandleJakk: It was. And I'm pretty sure they made another version which also sucked.

    @CandleJakk:

    It's amazing how many "IT'S THE 70S!" moments they managed to include in it. Glad to know at least some people know about the UK one. It wasn't perfect but I really liked it. I actually really want to play this Driver now.

    P.S.

    Does anyone know if the UK spin off about the 80s was any good?

    @UKSamwise:

    Thanks. I'll try to look it up. People rag on old cop shows for being formulaic and unrealistic but they sure had a great tone to them. Hope driver comes out on PC soon, It seems to capture that kind of feeling.

    I remember hearing about this show (Most likely the original British version) when it aired on Swedish television. I also remember thinking the premise was interesting, but I never saw any of it.

    I watched bits and pieces of the British one but I didn't believe Brad when he said the American version ended with them on a spaceship I thought that was just too stupid. Went and looked it up and he was right, unbelievable.

    I watched all of Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes (in the UK) and they were fantastic, the last episode was ridiculous!

    The original Life on Mars, which the British show was based on.

    How old is that trailer for the American version? Christ, it seems like the only actor they ended up using in the final version was Jason O'Mara. This was the real American version, and I thought there were some pretty good episodes.
