During the 1990s, Duane first started working in the gaming medium by joining Premier Technology and scoring the soundtracks for over 13 Gottlieb pinball games. Afterwards, he joined FASA Interactive and took over all of the music & sound design work for the BattleTech series of games, including MechWarrior and MechCommander. He also worked in "on location" based entertainment projects for Virtual World Entertainment and Walt Disney Imagineering.
In the late '90s, FASA Interactive was acquired by Microsoft and Duane found himself in Redmond, WA as an Audio Lead and eventually in-house composer for Microsoft Game Studios. While there, he continued to create music and audio for some of the world's most popular games including Rise Of Nations, MechAssault, MechWarrior 4 and MechCommander 2.
