...for which system are you doing so on?

I'm getting it on Wii U for the sole purpose of giving myself something to play on it.

Probably PC.

I'll probably go XBLA since my wired 360 controller broke recently >>

#5 Posted by Butano (1728 posts) -

If they release it on PC, then I'll be getting it Day 1 for sure.

Personal Computer considering I do not own any of the other platforms it is coming to...

#7 Posted by Hamst3r (4450 posts) -

I want it on PC.

#8 Posted by RioStarwind (482 posts) -

PSN although if I'm willing to wait I might buy it on PC when it goes on sale.

#9 Edited by Soapy86 (2620 posts) -

Xbox 360, and then on PC when it's on sale.

PC. It's about the only thing I play anything on anymore.

PC.

Whichever version s cheapest. Let's face it, it's a remastered version of a 20 year old game, so it's not like any of the current systems can't handle it.

#13 Posted by DarthOrange (3851 posts) -

Probably PS3, maybe Wii U.

#14 Posted by SpaceRunaway (838 posts) -

Either Xbox Live or PSN. If there was going to be a Vita version, I'd definitely go for PSN, but it's pretty much a coin flip. Although, if there's a first week PS Plus discount...

#15 Posted by afjkidd5 (97 posts) -

I'll go with Wii U for the same reason as the OP.

#16 Posted by LordAndrew (14424 posts) -

I have the premium Wii U. I might as well make use of the extra storage space I paid for.

PC, but I would prefer to buy it on PS3 or Vita. Anyone else a bit disappointed that they decided to pretty up the graphics? I was hoping for more of a Mega Man 9 feel. The gameplay looks faithful, but there was so much charm to the 8 bit graphics.

Game came out on the Nintendo Entertainment System. And they're doing so much more than just redoing the graphics.

360 Initially. I could see myself also buying the PC version if it's on sale or the Wii U version whenever I get one of those.

#20 Edited by PHenry1991 (137 posts) -

Maybe the WiiU version or the PC one.

#21 Posted by djou (857 posts) -

@zelyre: Woops, fixed it. I know its more than a graphics upgrade, I just wish there was a way to play the original (at least legally)..

#22 Posted by bobafettjm (1404 posts) -

I will probably get it on the 360 first and then the PC as well.

#23 Edited by ssj4raditz (1125 posts) -

PS3, probably.

#24 Posted by maskedarcstrike (701 posts) -

@zelyre: Ya some of the voice over stuff they're doing is pretty cool. Even though most of the original voice actors are in their 70's and a few in their 90's O_O

360

#26 Posted by sterbacblu (231 posts) -

PC at least. I'm a big fan of all things Uncle Scrooge, so possibly more, for no good reason.

#27 Posted by Hailinel (23854 posts) -

Wii U.

Why did Scrooge McDuck abduct Abigail?

Life is like a hurricane in Duckberg. People have to do some horrible things to survive there. It's like Detroit if everybody was a duck.

Shit's duck'd up.

Shit's duck'd up.

How did you figure out the tagline for my DuckTales review?

You might just say I'm a bit of a professional prognosticator.

#35 Posted by bobafettjm (1404 posts) -

I will most likely wait and get it on 360 and later on the PC. I might however get it on PSN, but less likely than 360.

#36 Posted by SMTDante89 (2545 posts) -

Did the little pre-order on PSN and got a Plus discount, I'll likely pick it up on PC as well if it ever goes on sale.

#37 Posted by JJOR64 (18904 posts) -

Going to get it on Wii U.

#38 Posted by JessicaaGoldBurst (34 posts) -

Probably PC. Maybe PSN.

#39 Posted by eskimo (473 posts) -

I would also ask, other than nostalgia what reason is there to buy this game?

#40 Edited by Xymox (2063 posts) -

Own the original so it'd be all nostalgia for me.
This seems like it would be a perfect fit on the 3DS. Since that's not an option, I guess PC if it's on steam at some point.

I have never played the original, but it seems pretty enjoyable. Also, WayForward are pretty swell.

#42 Posted by BigDre (116 posts) -

PC. Steam has Aug 13 as release date. Can't wait.

#43 Posted by Rowr (5476 posts) -

Has this been announced for Vita?

I want these sort of games on the vita. Unfortunately by the time the vita finally get's the games that i want on it, i've already bought them on something else.

I guess it's hard to be upset when sony eventually hand them over for free on psplus.

God bless you PSplus.

#44 Posted by Video_Game_King (35976 posts) -

Xbox Live or Steam. Actually, Steam. That way, screenshots.

#45 Posted by stryk187 (8 posts) -

I pre-ordered this on PSN during Sony's PLAY promotion & got a bit of a discount. I believe it was $11 or $12. Even though it's ANOTHER f'in platformer, I have fond memories of playing the NES version, so I'm looking forward to it.

#46 Posted by MightyDuck (1500 posts) -

I was pretty psyched for it, seeing as I remember renting the original NES version a few times as a kid. Although, I feel like I can't justify spending $15 for the game. I'll probably end up caving though.

#47 Edited by Rabbykayn (217 posts) -

PC because my PS3 and Xbox 360 will be going into a box in less than three months.. I will want to replay this bad boy in the future.

#48 Posted by pyrrhus19 (40 posts) -

I'll be buying the XBLA version next month. I loved the show as a kid and played DuckTales: The Quest for Gold on the Amiga but never the NES game.

#49 Posted by peritus (959 posts) -

PS3 for me, i like the d-pad better compared to the 360 one.

#50 Posted by fox01313 (5061 posts) -

Will throw it on steam wishlist & if not getting it soon, will grab it later this year with the seasonal sale.
