Hail to the king indeed! Welcome back, Duke.
Duke Nukem Forever
Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Jun 14, 2011
After approximately fourteen years of development, the heavily infamous sequel to Duke Nukem 3D was finally released, in which the macho Duke must damper yet another alien invasion.
It Can't Be. I Deny It. Duke Nukem Release Trailer.
It'd be pretty funny to play a Duke Nukem game where Duke's no longer relevant in the game world and people see him as kind of a misogynistic asshole. From there, he accidentally starts a war with the aliens who had up until then been peaceful with humanity and has to win back the public's trust by getting rid of them since they are then too angry to reason with.
That's probably not the case, but I imagine I'll try this at some point. It feels very 1997.
1. Chill the fuck out.
2. You probably support turning women into sexual objects in some manner of social acceptance, hypocrite.
3. The idea of having a butt slapping mode in Duke is appropriate, and brilliant.
4. I wonder if i can get a lap dance while punching a giant monster in the nuts at the same time?
5. Hail to the King, he's back baby.
I don't care how bad it is, I'm going to play through the whole thing and laugh and laugh and laugh and have fun... because... VIDEO GAMES! Yeah! So, when does the first DNF sound board come out? They have an official one on the app store for ios, it's kind of lacking without all the stolen movie quotes unfortunately.
Also, The amount of people that this stuff turns off is probably the exponential opposite of people it will "turn on" so-to-speak.
And thirdly, People like you are the reason that this world is going to hell in a politically correct hand basket. Fuck off and let me enjoy some misogyny every once and a while.
i still see duke nukem primarily as a game where you shoot police officer pigs and quip one linersSure I deleted a lot. At least you had something worthwhile to contribute.
I see Duke as nigh on satire. The cops are ruthless pigs, the manliest man in the world is a total asshole, women are nothing but tools, weapons are built not for efficiency at ending a violent conflict but to humiliate the victim. Duke Nukem takes the worst fears of every uptight and close minded person in the world and turns it into a video game. It's completely over the top and ridiculous in a great way.
If there was a Duke Nukem movie it would probably sit on my shelf right next to Idiocracy. The game looks stupid, insane, and the developers have no shame. I wouldn't have it any other way.
I love non Military shooters to much more games need to have novelty weapons like the shrink ray and freeze gun. Too bad they don't have the Microwave ray too that makes dudes huge and then explode. I've watched the trailer at least 5 times now. I just hope there are plenty of secret areas to explore. That was the best part about Duke 3D.
Damnit that looks fun, I was way skeptical leading up to Its release, but that trailer makes me want it. Well done gearbox now get crackin' on boarderlands 2
I loved Duke back in the day,
But I really have very low expectations for this game. (I do have an order in)
Honestly the only thing that could have made this game what I was wishing for 10 years ago would have been an Ao rating,
and since game developers (Well Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft) are not willing to admit there is a viable audience 18+ who would support (Certain) Ultra-Violent / Ultra-Sexualized games
We will never see Duke at the true depths of his depravity, And its a true shame.
If any game should have been the first to carry the Ao rating on a console this was it.
hey guys just want to say that while i agree it's a satirical work they still went way overboard with the marketing for it. i mean come on, it was enough to have the first game's plot be "ALIENS HAVE KIDNAPPED OUR BABES. ARE YOU A BAD ENOUGH DUDE TO RESCUE THE BABES?" but this shit is no longer really funny, it's just weird and creepy. i love duke 3d, i just think there's a place for hyper machismo blow shit up save the women satire without tangible harmful things such as having a press conference in a strip club (protip: that is an actual establishment that actually subjugates women).
