    Duke Nukem Forever

Game » consists of 14 releases. Released Jun 14, 2011

After approximately fourteen years of development, the heavily infamous sequel to Duke Nukem 3D was finally released, in which the macho Duke must damper yet another alien invasion.

My thoughts on the Duke Nukem Forever Demo.

I had fun with the demo for what it is.But I was alittle disappointed with the demo.It was the same demo that was shown at pax last year.So nothing in the demo didn't surprise me.The demo has some technical problems .The framerate would drop at heated firefights. The texture would pop in and out,and the game takes alittle too long to load. The environments on the desert level in the demo was abit bland, and there wasn't too many things to interact with in the demo.

Aside from the problems I did enjoy the weapons in the demo. The ripper, shrinkray ,shotgun and other weapons in the demo was fun to use.The shooting in the game is fast pace, and the game feels like a Duke Nukem game. But as of now the demo didn't really impress me,and now I'm going to wait for the reviews before I buy it.

The game was pretty much exactly what I expected.  A pretty average shooter, wrapped in nostalgia and jokes.  Some people will love it for that, others will hate it.
Personally, I don't really see it as high enough quality to warrant being a full price game.  I think the developers have clearly put in a lot of effort, but the environments do seem very bland and I just didn't find the game very exciting.

I'll definitely wait and pick it up on sale.

Well, if this is the same demo that they had at PAX, surely they've had plenty of time since then to fix the frame rate, environments + all the other issues you mentioned?

I honestly hope the full game delivers. It would be such a shame for it to be average, I want it to be amazing, but most of all, fun!

Am dissappoint that Gearbox did this and not a Borderlands 2 :(
PC Gamer said this is in development too and might be revealed at E3 or shortly after.

They should have released this demo publicly.Sense it was just the same demo that was shown at pax.
