I didn't. Going to wait for bargain bin status.

No, I'm not paying for something I knew would be garbage.

#6 Posted by Claude (15850 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I would rather watch my balls play tennis than buy that game.

#7 Posted by The_Laughing_Man (12134 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I rented it!

#8 Posted by Willin (1227 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Hit the nail on the head.

Nope, even as a huge fan of the, er... original trilogy? I even warned friends against buying it, but they didn't listen, and now they're regretting it.

I love Gearbox, but this just isn't them.

#11 Posted by Portis (1256 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Nah, fuck that. I'll grab it for 15 or 20, though.

#12 Posted by JTB123 (1023 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I rented it. I never planned on buying it to see if it was good.

#13 Posted by Yanngc33 (4472 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I forked out 90 for the balls of steel edition, and yes I do regret it

#14 Posted by harvey_the_pooka (271 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Hell no! If I find it for 10€ in a bargain bin then I´ll get it but right now...fuck no

#15 Posted by SlasherMan (1725 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Absolutely not. I don't think I'd buy it for free. I also don't think it's necessarily as bad as everyone seems to make it out to be, but it's still not a game I care enough for to actually ever play. Too many good games out there.

#16 Edited by YoThatLimp (1554 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I actually spent $110 on the Balls of Steel edition and do not regret it at all.

To add to this:

I am an Old School Duke Nukem fan, and have been waiting for this since I was 8. I got a cool little Duke Statues and some random duke stuff to share with my other Duke 3d obsessed friend. The game itself, well, not great. It is fine for a single play through, and I am glad to have played through it, I just never want to play through it again.

#17 Posted by probablytuna (2529 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Na, I passed on the game. Was never a big fan of Duke Nukem.

#18 Posted by ReyGitano (2462 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I wouldn't watch an endurance run of that game, let alone pay money to experience it.

#19 Posted by Ksaw (294 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I was actually kind of interested until I saw the quick look. That game looks terrible.

#20 Posted by valrog (3670 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

No way in hell.

#21 Posted by Smashlampjaw (200 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

No, I got it for 100 (Balls of Steel edition) and made a paper-craft Duke Nukem. lol

#22 Edited by Clenchmask (62 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I did. So what? Wanna fight about it?
And I've played it a lot more than Portal 2, which I have yet to beat.
So yeah it's more fun to me personally than P2.
Just sayin.

My thoughts exactly. We get it: you didn't like the game, it's not good. There's no reason to create a new topic every time someone has to say it again.

Yeah but... I'd give away any game to witness my balls play a sport...
#28 Posted by phrosnite (3378 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Nope... I will buy it when it's on sale.

#29 Posted by MaFoLu (1822 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I spent about a hundred bucks on the Balls of Steel edition.

Totally worth it.

#30 Posted by Guided_By_Tigers (8020 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I'm waiting for a good deal on the balls of steel edition.

#31 Posted by lockwoodx (2453 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Hell yes, tho I'll assume most of you will use the "I wasn't born yet" excuse.

#32 Posted by TekZero (2585 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Dude, I don't spend $60 on any game.  I usually play games that are at least a year or two old.   I get em all at $20 because I don't see the point in buying a game at full price when if you're a little patient, the game will drop in price.

#33 Posted by Pinworm45 (4088 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Steam Preorder was cancelled in the eleventh hour. Played it at my friends.

Yeah, and the funny thing is, I wouldn't spent $20 to play DNF.
#36 Posted by Hizang (8536 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Indeed I did, I played it once, not since then have I played it.

What about full contact foot ball?  Or knife fighting? That's a sport in some places. Might be kind of pain full...
#38 Posted by TooWalrus (11834 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Nope- I payed $100 for it. No regrets, even though that game is mad boring.

#39 Posted by SpikeSpiegel (6818 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Don't think I'll ever pick it up. Maybe when it is less than $10?

#40 Posted by DrCornwalliz (203 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Pre-ordered it on steam....so yes

#41 Posted by SJSchmidt93 (4834 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Haha... no.

#42 Posted by ZeForgotten (9532 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Nope, work did though so I could play through it and then give my opinion on it. I couldn't even get through the game before I gave it to someone else and said "You review it" . Man I wish I was 8 again, back when Duke 3D was "awesome" in my stupid little mind

That would at least be exciting.

No, I went grocery shopping.

#46 Posted by FritzDude (2206 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

I shat it out of my anus for free. Played with it for a while, but then i realized that i was playing with crap, so i threw it in the toilet where it belongs.

#47 Posted by TwoOneFive (9449 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

i might rent it for a day for $2 from red box

#48 Posted by iam3green (14380 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

no, i did play it at my friends. it's pretty funny stuff i thought.

#49 Posted by Maelstrom (38 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

Nope. I was planning to get Duke on day one but that Randy Pitchford sheister turned me off of it with his constant hyping of Duke Nukem Forever. He gave off that Peter Molyneux stench...you know the kind where someone is trying WAY too hard to sell you something and promises things with all of the sincerity of a career politician. Thankfully I went with my instinct and was apparently saved from a true turd. I'll try the demo when it comes out for the PC to those of us who didn't buy into Pitchford's bs and preorder Duke.

#50 Posted by cosi83 (355 posts) - 1 year, 11 months ago

No way, I rent game for free by cleverly abusing free trials

It was an ok ride for a rent but If i had paid 40 pound I would have been pissed!
