Two players may share the screen locally, and you can bring in two more players online. The other players will serve as assistants to one main player, and no progress will be carried over to their game.

So it's Fable 2's co-op? In a series...all about co-op. Wow, this game is gonna suck. I expected it to be a buggy mess because of Obsidian but I was thinking of still buying it for the co-op but if that's ruined, no point.

Wow, that sucks. I was just wondering if this game is going to be another lame Space Siege, or if it's going to be like DS I & II. With NO information about this game, looks like it's going to be lame.

Why can't more people just use the Borderlands model of co-op? So much better, why even both with anything else?

I like fantastically written games, too.  But Obsidian has yet to prove that they can code worth a damn.

at the very least, I don't care because I've been able to play their games with only a few crashes to desktop and the like, and AP never crashed or anything.

Don't care much about online coop anyway. Hopefully the single player experience is enough to purchase.

I've played more buggy games than any of Obsidians games, and yes I've played both New Vegas, Alpha Protocol and KOTOR2. I have faith in them, I seem to always like their games regardless of what people say about them. I never experience much of the technical problems that people associate them with, it's over-exaggerated in my eyes.

If they have some story stuff going on this time though (decisions etc.) it could get kinda crazy if you wanted to jump from your game into somebody elses at some random point, then take the progress back to your game.

I figure if you intend to play through this co-op, you'd just only play that save when your bro/s are available, and decide together how you want the main character to act.  Could still be kinda cool to play through it together like that.

If this is anything like Borderlands or Left 4 Dead it's going to suck NUTS, because that's exactly what it's looking like to me. This is going to be nothing like the Dungeon Siege we all know and love, and I for sure won't be buying it if it isn't like the originals. Not to mention Obsidian sucks dick half the time anyway, lol. But we can't really jump to conclusions until we get more information. I'm tempted to preorder it just for DS1 and DS2 on STEAM.
