Kicking off the Microsoft press briefing with a medium-sized bang, as executive Don Mattrick announced a three-year deal with Activision that guarantees all future Call of Duty DLC--including map packs and other add-ons--will launch first on the Xbox 360.
Do note that this deal does not make all Call of Duty DLC exclusive to the Xbox. It merely stipulates that all future add-ons will launch on the Xbox 360 before the PC and PS3.
If you're going to continue paying for Call of Duty DLC on the 360 before the PS3, you'll be able to start this fall with Call of Duty: Black Ops--the first title to fall inside of this timed "exclusivity first" deal.

Kind of shitty. Could be worse though. Could be xbox 360 exclusive and to make up for the lost sales they could charge twice as much...Oh shit, I shouldn't give them ideas.
Thank god. Gives me longer to play the game before map packs I won't pay for rotate in to the play lists.
" I hate this shit MS does...getting it like a month before Sony. "Internet Fact #97:only microsoft does wrong things, Sony has never ever gotten time exclusivity, never paid out money EVER for any thing in video game development. the grace of god gave them so many 1st party developers, and games.
This does not strike me as a necessary move on Microsoft's part. If users do not have both the PS3 and 360, then it doesn't really matter to them when the map packs come out. If they want to get their COD on in the newest maps, it is going to happen on the platform they bought it on. If people are like me and own both, are they seriously going to be a FPS on the Playstation? Obviously people like me have more money than sense and have a Gold membership on Live. I am going to go out of a pretty firm limb and say that there are more dudes on the 360 playing online than on the Playstation Network. And so, you'd likely buy it for the 360 anyway.
I'm just saying, Microsoft should have published a few more new and interesting Arcade games than bought the ability to say "And the first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will be exclusive* to the 360!"
