I have little faith in Nntendo at the moment so I'm hoping for this years E3 to prove me wrong!
E3 2011
Concept »
The 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California on June 7-9.
The Questions I Want E3 To Answer
Where's Agent Sony and Rockstar!?!?Cancelled, so is Mega Man Universe, Pirates of the Caribbean, True Crime, & like a ton of other games. 2011 is the year of both awesome & Cancelled games.
Now for something completely different…
As for the new Nintendo console, I think Nintendo really needs to have more then 8 GB of space for obvious reasons I won't get into. Also as for the power of the console, if it's just slightly more powerful then the 360 or PS3 Nintendo will be fine. If Sony can make something as graphically amazing as God of War 3, that runs so smooth at 60FPS, at that high a detail of characters & locations. Now think what Nintendo did with Mario Galaxy on the Wii, yeah what if nintendo had PS3 power or higher. Holy fuck!
I just want this month to be over, I can't remember a time I was this excited for a E3 in years.
I'm not too worried about Mass Effect 3 despite almost despising Dragon Age 2. The main reason is that they are completely different development teams. The second reason is that Mass Effect has always been a shooter and RPG hybrid, so you can't really "dumb it down" that much. Dragon Age started as a hardcore old-school CRPG and then turned into simpleton theater.
My guess for Microsoft we will see MW3, Skyrim, Bioshock Infinite (I believe Microsoft will get some time exclusive DLC for each) and the grand surprise would be the reveal for the GTA game at the end (with time exclusive DLC).If the fucking xbox gets Skyrim DLC before the PC I will murder someone.
Or something that will blow us away, like another piece of Episode 3 concept art.Don't play with my emotions like that.
If the fucking xbox gets Skyrim DLC before the PC I will murder someone.Sharpen your knife then ... because IF they do Skyrim DLC for the xbox, chances are it wont come to PC at all, let alone at the same time.
Out of everything listed in this article, I think Burnout is the only part I care about. It's not like I'm gonna get a PSP ever haha
@AlexW00d said:Really? You really think Bethesda would ignore the PC for this game? I know Microsoft are wankers when it comes to this shit, but damn man, they couldn't do this. I hope not anyway, I will keep my fingers crossed that Microsoft will keep their dirty fucking hands away from my Skyrim. If the fucking xbox gets Skyrim DLC before the PC I will murder someone.Sharpen your knife then ... because IF they do Skyrim DLC for the xbox, chances are it wont come to PC at all, let alone at the same time.
Personally I hope we hear something about Timesplitters 4. Also lets lock down some release dates for big hitters on the 3DS, the price is getting cheaper and cheaper and I just need a few decent games and I will buy the damn thing. I have been dipping back into some DS and GBA classics as it is. I also want to see some gameplay for DMC and obviously the biggest news of the show is whatever Nintendo's console ends up being.
If they don't say anything about agent at this E3 then it's officially dead.Yeah Rockstar what ever happened to Agent? That was a Rockstar North joint so i have pretty high hopes for that one. What better way for all of us to forget about the whole PSN thing, then showing some gameplay of that?

You already have setting, weapons, magic, main character, how the ai works, how the quests will work and a release date, what else do you need to know?Nothing about Skyrim? WTF
I really hope that Criterion is working on a new Road Rash. C'mon, we're due! Plus they already proved they could do bikes in Burnout Paradise.
Nice article! I can't believe e3 is almost here again, already. Sort of.
Maybe it's still a bit early. But this was a clever way of dealing with the whole embargo-related speculation paradox.
Anyway, now I'm all excited with like a month left to wait. So way to go, jerks
I just hope my Internet's fixed by then so I won't miss the livestreamed Pressconferences, that would be a bummer.
Nintendo's console news is going to be a pretty big deal. But I think I'm more interested in how Sony handles the whole PSN thing.
Too bad I won't be able to watch any video this year. If I do manage to get Flash installed properly, I still won't get any sound. And then I'll likely run out of memory, reboot my computert, and I'll have to install Flash again. No, I'll have to rely on liveblogs to give me what I need.
Prediction:
I'm hoping for a microsoft surprise like a console or handheld or some new thing, cause sony's got NGP and wii's got this new console and they don't want to be left behind right? oh and wanna see some more battlefield 3 and other PC games, ohoh and I wanna see some star wars old republic gameplay, I'm hoping it won't suck.
Nothing about Skyrim? WTF
Jeff and the GB crew have often mentioned on many occasions that RPG demos generally don't come off too well as you're often not given any real context about where you are in the game, you haven't had time to build up an affection for the game, it's enviroment or characters and also you don't have any perspective on in-game scale in such a short demo time.
As well as this we already have tonnes of information on Skyrim that I personally don't want to read so I know next to nothing about the game when I stick it in on it's release date, other than that it isn't as clunky as the last game/clunky at all this time around.
The voice-overs are actually good and not recycled lines for a group of people to be recorded saying and the faces look more like real faces and not "everybody-looks-exactly-the-same-land."
Oh and most important of all that the story is good without knowing what is in the story myself, if that's even possible.
Being an RPG fan I would've thought that you may be better off knowing as little as possible about the game as you can manage.
MW3 will be fine. How hard can it be for a competent studio (or three) to put out one of those games at this point? They aren't going to do anything groundbreaking, but then they probably don't need to until somebody else forces their hand.
What's the over/under on EA announcing Battlefield 3's release date as a week before MW3's? I think that, if anything, is what will cause CoD to drop a few million sales. CoD has sold crazy numbers in recent years, but it helped that the rest of the industry kept crying off out of the way.
Mass Effect 3 will turn out fine. DA2 was a mess because they tried to morph it into a totally different franchise in about 15 months.
We have to see some AC: Revelations. I reckon we also see Far Cry 3 and GTA.
Well I'm looking forward to going to E3 myself. The only question is which day? I only get ONE day and most likely Tuesday or Wednesday so which day do I go?
I'm probably going to look at smaller developers and see what I can see but I think it'd be sweet to bump into the GIant bomb guys. (Though I'm sure they'll be a blur zipping by intead of able to talk. :) )
