E3 2012: What games are on your radar?

#1 Posted by Pr1mus (4095 posts) -

So day 1 of press conference is almost over.

What games are you most excited about?

I started the day thinking that other than GTA V i was probably done buying games for a year or more. I've got plenty of playtime left on my current gaming endeavour (D3, ME2, ME3, MP3, a return to Civ 5 with Gods and Kings) and most of what was announced for the next year or so didn't seem to interest me all that much.

Last of Us looks pretty great and will likely get a spot on that list as well as the next Quantic Dream game Beyond. Also Watch Dog. MAN! WATCH DOG!!! It looks pretty fucking great and is completely new too!

So what about you people, what are your most anticipated games shown during this E3 so far?

last of us looks cool, like uncharted but with less humor and more survival. farcry 3 also, but I have no idea what dude was talking about when he came during PS press event and says they were really making 2 games, why cause there is co-op? 90% of games some sort of multiplayer. Oddly I thought battlefield 3 stuff looked better than COD or MOH, but I don't see myself buying the game than spending $50 more for lots of DLC.

Still the only thing I have preordered is borderlands 2 everything is wait and see.

I need to see more of Last of Us and Watch Dogs. They seem to both be heavily scripted and if that is indeed the case, I'm not interested in either.

So far the only game I'm all in for is South Park. What can I say, I'm a rabid fanboy of the series; I can't help myself.

SimCity and Crysis 3. Watch Dogs looks cool, but that's the kind of game I'd rather watch someone play.

Zeno Clash 2 and Watch Dogs

i forgot about simcity, I used to love those games and haven't played a new one in years, but when I saw this I wanted to play it. Also for every, and I mean every game talking about social media and connecting to others this seemed like a good place for it.

I really liked Watch Dogs, Tomb Raider, Halo and the Last of Us, But the game that excited me the most was AC3. There was so much cool shit happening in both demos shown.

Last of Us, Watch_Dogs, Star Wars 1313, Sony Allstars, AC3 (was hyped for this way before), Far Cry 3 (same story), South Park game, Tomb Raider. Oh, and I hope the UFC game EA comes out plays similarly to EA MMA because I much preferred the fighting system in that than the UFC game fighting systems.

Pretty much almost all the big blockbusters this fall. Hopefully I can check out some under the radar games.

Which is exactly why you'll see me heavily interested in Last of Us and Watch Dogs.

Honestly, I still haven't seen anything better than Metal Gear Rising, and I am probably the most excited about Lords of Shadow 2. Konami is winning so far.

Company of Heroes 2

Darksiders 2

Halo 4

Not a big list this year. Game announcements and information seem to come up better at events like PAX or at least games I'm interested in.

Watch Dogs seems very non scripted from what we saw, like how he made the lights turn green or what if he did'nt do that what would have happened. I can't really say anything for Last of us, but both are on my radar but Watch Dogs more than anything. Still waiting for Nintendo to take the show tomorrow.
