Do you guys think there will be actual reveals during E3 this year or did we get all the reveals pre-show and then we will just get info on what was already blurted out to the press?
E3 2012
Concept »
The 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California on June 5-7.
Think There Will Be Actual Reveals During E3?
I'm sure there will be some, but it sounds like a fair bit of E3 this year is already a known quantity. I think at this point it will just be more about getting media of said known quantities. I'm still holding out for some awesome surprises but I don't think there will be many.
I'll tell you one thing: if there isn't a Darkstalkers 4 reveal, Seth Killian may end up 'missing' until they do announce it...
Reveals at events are pretty much impossible with the freedom that information travels at nowadays. Most companies hardly even try anymore. EA knew they were never making it to the conference before someone figured out what they were doing.
People figure out the VGA announcements days and hours before the show. Eventually we'll get to where Hollywood is at with scripts and contract signings being immediately available.
I don't think that Sony or Microsoft will tell people: `You can stop buying our games now and start saving for our new console that will come out in November 2013.`
Pretty sure we got all the previews just beforehand. I think Microsoft and Sony have one reveal each, though Sony has outed that it's showing something by Quantic Dream, right? And Nintendo will have a few surprises because they always do, whether good or bad.
I doubt it. None of the big 3 have any games left that they haven't announced. Maybe Ubisoft will have some.

New Xbox.
They've already confirmed there won't be one at E3. Besides, why would they be hyping up games like Halo 4 and the new Gears of War, if they're suddenly about to all be overshadowed about next-gen tech?
It doesn't make sense for there to be new consoles on show this year and I can pretty much guarantee there won't be (not counting the Wii U, of course). It doesn't make sense on a marketing, consumer or business level.
@Jayzilla: Pre-show. They get to 'control the message' better that way. Or at least they think they do. Doing it that way certainly means the potential for two reveals though, and PR like that.

There's always one claiming to have insider knowledge, huh.

Ubisoft has at least 2 surprises announced for their conference. One of which will be a new IP. There's an official list floating around the webs, with the 'Games of E3 2012'. I'd be surprised if there aren't more though. I bet Nintendo has a surprise or two for the WiiU - revealing their 1st party software lineup.
Hell - I bet Microsoft and Sony tease the next generation. It's time.
I think there will be plenty. A lot of announcements over the last week or two has me thinking that companies are getting out of the way of something big.

Well obviously we can't tell you or it wouldn't be a revelation.
that is why i was asking if you think there will be reveals. I wasn't asking if you could use your non-existent ESP super powers to tell me what the reveals would be. But, I like your ESP nonetheless.
More and more every year people are announcing (or it's getting leaked) what's going to be at E3, like NFS: Most Wanted. It's certainly less exciting then it being announced at the conference. My favourite one in recent memory was Microsoft 09, they had announcement after announcement. But as long as we get to see gameplay first at E3 I'm fine. If companies start releasing gameplay demos a week before E3 then there's really no point in watching the conferences.
Though I don't believe we will see any hardware announcements. I am positive that there will be behind closed doors presentations for the next gen systems.
