Last year I jumped back and forth from Gamespot and Gametrailers. I was wondering where everyone else watches their live video feeds for E3 coverage?(both conferences and general coverage).

#2 Posted by Hockeymask27 (3486 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot usually the most stable.

#3 Posted by Winternet (7629 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

They will probably put the Gamespot stream on our chat, right?

#4 Posted by BPRJCTX (705 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Like always, start with Gametrailers, see that the stream sucks, the comments will be filled with Gamespot links, and that's where i'll end up watching most of E3.

Too bad Gametrailers has all the exclusives, we'll all have to watch that when they post it later, cos the Live Stream is gonna suck, like it does every damn year.

A mix of GameSpot and GameTrailers, Jeff will probably appear on both at some point.

God, I hope so. Jeff mentioned in some video that it was feasible, but I don't think they've confirmed that they're doing it.

Jeff said something about putting the Gamespot twitch stream on the giantbomb.com/chat page. If that turns out to be the case, I'll use that.

#8 Posted by JacDG (1988 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot, watched their stream the last 4-5 years always been pretty great.

#9 Posted by Dany (7882 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

If I do watch the press conferences, It would probably be on gamespot or gametrailers

Everything after that is going to be on GB, 20 hours of podcasts and plethra of videos! yaya!

#10 Posted by ThePickle (3708 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gametrailers.

#11 Posted by Origina1Penguin (3500 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot. I'll probably have my television on Spike. Then again, I will probably be at work, so SOL and JWF.

GameSPPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT dot com!!!

#13 Posted by PhilipDuck (434 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Mix Gamespot and Gametrailers, probably more so Gamespot, usually the best.

#14 Posted by FritzDude (2206 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

All the live streams at the same time for true surround sound and echo, like I'm almost there myself.

No, not really. I will find the best to my liking. Usually Gametrailers works perfectly all the time for me.

Gamespot or G4

This is Ryan Scotts new website that he is running.  This is an official ESA site so this is where places like Gamespot or gametrailers get their press conference feeds from.  If there is going to be one stream that isn't going to be shitty, it is this one.
#18 Posted by TheFakePsychic (140 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Generally for the press conferences, I stick to the official websites for the stream, mostly because I like skyping with some friends to watch the conferences, and could care less about thousands of other people's opinions about things.

#19 Posted by Hizang (8534 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

The first I can find, there all the same really.

#20 Posted by TekZero (2590 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Just like last year...

I'm not interested in following the day to day progression of E3.

#21 Posted by EquitasInvictus (1742 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

At first I thought this thread was implying a physical *where,* like as if people gathered to watch E3 in sports bars and the such, and I was scratching my head as to how there'd be enough interested people in an area who would actually gather and do that.

Didn't they stream a bit of offsite coverage here last year with the chat up? I recall chatting about "transfarring" and other hilarious items that came up while on the Giant Bomb chat, so I guess I'd stick around close to home.

#22 Posted by Nux (2007 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

G4 like I do every year or Gamespot.

#23 Posted by zyn (2591 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Wherever streams the best quality. So, GameTrailers?

Does Gamespot do anything for the Total Access people during E3? I might as well use that code we subs got for something. Either way, I'll probably hit up Gamespot for the press conferences as long as my somewhat unstable internet holds up. Otherwise, I'll head over to the TV and switch it on to Spike, if need be. Never been too interested in the actual show floor stuff. I'll just get caught up with the E3 Bombcasts.

#26 Posted by Jackhole (260 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

I don't know about you suckers, but I'll be watching it right here one GIANT BOMB DOT COM. Check the front page, fools.

#27 Posted by freakin9 (622 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

I doubt I'll watch any live shows. Just catch up on the news. Not necessarily here, depends how on the ball giantbomb is, I seem to recall in year's past they weren't really the place to go. God I hope they have a better setup than couches. I think part of the problem with giantbomb is they generally just talk about stuff, they don't do a lot of splicing in game footage.

#28 Posted by Giefcookie (522 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Giantbomb.

#29 Posted by Toxeia (658 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

I don't. E3 coverage is awful. I'll trust the dudes at Giantbomb to give me the bits from E3 that are worth the coverage. Meanwhile I'll be doing productive things like sleeping.

#30 Posted by YetiAntics (1477 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot because the stream is stable.

#31 Posted by Wes899 (2071 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Whatever has it on TV. Me and all my bros make a 2-3 day long LAN party out of it in a friends basement. It's great.

#32 Posted by Suedehead (110 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Is G4 doing coverage this year? I can't imagine since Sessler and Perreira are gone, right?

#33 Posted by KillyDarko (1887 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

I mostly just plan to watch the trailers ^^

#34 Edited by FluxWaveZ (18024 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

So the front page of Giant Bomb's showing this:

Wonder if this means that they'll be live streaming the press conferences.

Oh, never mind. Apparently it's going to be Gamespot's stream.

#35 Posted by Brendan (6933 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Start with Gametrailers, switch between that one and Gamespot when appropriate.

#36 Posted by Atramentous (2473 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

If I watch any of it at all then I will most likely watch whatever streams they toss up here.

#37 Edited by Gamer_152 (13342 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot's been good to me these past few years when I need to watch. I like to have something like Gametrailers on standby though, it seems like at some point the stream inevitably encounters difficulties.

I plan on watching the press conferences through either GameSpot or their Official sites.

#39 Posted by SmilingPig (1286 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamebomb.ru for me.

#40 Posted by BaneFireLord (2367 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Gamespot.

#41 Posted by spree4567 (125 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Since I work during most of the press conferences, recording Spike and/or G4 as needed.

I'm surprised Sessler lasted as long as he did. I always thought they'd find a good looking tool to replace him sooner than they did.

Didn't hear about Perreira, can't say I ever gave a crap either way about him.

I always go to Gamespot. Their E3 videos are awesome.

However, I'll occasionally come over to Giant Bomb just to show everyone I still care for this website.

#45 Posted by superfiasco (33 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

im new to giant bomb do they do a lot of video coverage?

#46 Posted by ccfox (2254 posts) - 1 year, 19 days ago

Nope

#47 Posted by Agent_Eli (128 posts) - 1 year, 18 days ago

It's usually been a mix between Gametrailers, Giant Bomb, and Joystiq for me.

but this year, I'm going to check out E3insider for steams of the Conferences. Apparently they are working off a satellite feed, independent of the internet provided there. I'm also keeping an eye on the Polygon guys. It's their first e3 and they have a pretty good team there. Also I hope they team up with Area5 (ex-up show guys). They make good quality vids.

Where could I watch the conferences on my iPhone? I'm going to be out while they are on and I like to watch them live. More specifically the Microsoft conference. I will be home for the rest.

No real plan yet, i will go see where the streams are working best and use that. Be it IGN, Gametrailers or Gamespot. Don't really care.
