Congrats to @vincentvendetta and this classy Mirror's Edge banner, which also might be the only banner that references this being the 20th E3. He narrowly beat out alcor741's Battlefield banner. And aurahack's VHS banner was not far behind in 3rd place.

The Official E3 2014 Electronic Arts Press Conference Discussion

It's officially E3 time, duders! If you haven't experienced the insanity of E3 before, the show starts off with press conferences from each of the three console makers as well as a few of the largest publishers in the industry. These presentations are prime real estate for game announcements, debut trailers, live gameplay demonstrations, and meme origins.

In an attempt to keep the E3 shenanigans organized, the mods institute these official discussion threads for each conference so that everybody has a go-to place to discuss them before, during, and after the show.

This thread is exclusively for the general discussion of the Electronic Arts press conference. Only discussion of the EA press conference is allowed. Discussion involving the other company's conferences should be taken to their respective threads (once they're posted). And don't even think about going off-topic or derailing the thread with arguments over how much it costs to rent the Staples Center.

E3 is THE place for announcing never before seen games. It's exciting, fast-paced stuff and we're all enthusiastic to start talking about all the new toys. Are EA's conferences the same every year? That was just blah. Not terrible but not interesting or entertaining or exciting.

Well...that sucked. Even as excited as I am about Mirror's Edge 2, they somehow made that game look painfully boring. Yeah, I get it, it's still clearly early in development and they probably don't have a lot to show, but that trailer from last year was infinitely more exciting.

Well, got my code for the Hardline beta and Origin tells me it's been used.

That was so boring. Every game I was somewhat interested in got the "we can't actually show anything yet" treatment, so it was just a shitload of sports games and Battlefield. Yawn.
