They have been killing it with these shows at the end of the night. Just fantastic this year. I mean they are great every year. But I am really, really digging the shows this year. So much going on, so much great talks and moments happening. Funny and serious. Well, not that much serious talk, but hey. I love how the talks devolve into food and just random stuff. Its great. I've had a lot of laughs the last couple nights.

The guests have just been perfect. So many great people, and everyone just having fun. And when everyone on the shows is just relaxing and having fun it really makes it fun to watch. And I think Jeff is doing a great job of leading the show as a moderator. Only thing I would like to see is more Vinny and Drew hoping in once in a while. But I fully understand those guys are working hard behind the cameras to make sure everything works.

So thanks to everyone who works at Giantbomb, that includes everyone behind the scenes too! And thanks to everyone who has been a guest (like you are reading this, who do I think I am). Top grade A stuff! Really looking forward to the final night!

I was thinking of making a thread like this once E3 was over but I guess now works too. Seriously, the E3 content has been fantastic! All the press conference videos were great. I haven't had the chance to see the nightly recaps yet but that shirtless Greg Miller gif has me excited to see more.

Greg Miller wins E3 for me. That man does not afraid of anything.

One could say he... broke bad tonight.

    I'm so sorry.

EDIT: I suppose I should read threads more carefully. Didn't realize this was a general appreciation thing.

I'd like to say that the E3 After Hours shows have been pretty great, barring Day 0. Plenty of humour and fun to be had. Even the Nintendo Direct commentary was pretty good as well. I could not stop laughing at Jeff giving Patrick and Alex shit over Yoshi. I hope he keeps it up until his dying breath.

I'm also glad to see that these guys are actually optimistic about games again. There was a real long, brutal, dark period where everything coming out was utter shit and couldn't please anybody. Glad to see the perception has changed and Giant Bomb is ready to embrace games again.

My guess would be that hes already been talked to about it this morning. Despite viewers eating this kind of thing up, it didn't look like Jeff was exactly happy with his behavior and its likely that IGN wasn't either. But live and learn.

But yeah, as to the shows as a whole. This is my first E3 as a GiantBomb viewer and it has been an amazing experience. These guys really go the extra mile with stuff like this and its so so great. Its just the kind of feeling you don't get watching other sites' E3 coverage.

I stayed up way too late last night watching the show and barely made it in to work on <5hrs of sleep.

I don't know how late they'll run tonight, but luckily I'll have the day off tomorrow. I really enjoyed all of the coverage this year from the pressers to the wrapup video podcast.

Loved the commentary over the press conferences. I wonder why they basically wasted a day in passed years running from one conference to the next with next to no content to show for it.

Great job all around! You all have made this a super entertaining week!!

But fuck man, for real, I know this type of stuff has been played to death and it would never happen anytime soon, but it would be like my favorite thing in the world if the McElroy brothers and the D.O.D. (Danny) were permanent members of the staff. God damn it that would just be the best.

I keep seeing tweets by Patrick and Rorie about people being mean to the guests? I guess I don't pay that much attention to chat. But what is that all about? What guest could anyone possibly have anything negative to say about? That seems pretty lame to me that people were making fun of the guests.

Chat snark maybe? Haven't seen too many threads about it.

People may be thinking too much into who they are in terms of the companies they work for, instead of how they fit into the show. I think Patrick picked out good groups that get along well. GB is in an enjoyable position, in that it is owned by CBSi, but isn't in direct competition with most other websites.

I haven't been able to watch live, since I live on the east coast and have a job to get to in the mornings :<

I thought for the most part chat was reasonably civil last night (with the notable exception to one guest early on), either the mods really were on top of it or I just missed it. But either way really enjoyed the guests and lineup last night

I'm sad Dave Lang is sooo much more reserved this time around, with his PR person around. EVERYONE is saying "Fuck Dave Lang" every moment they get. I wonder if anyone takes him seriously anymore...

But what's the worst is how the community is saying "Fuck Dave Lang" like it's a meme or something. Dude, we're just random people on the internet, we don't even know the man.

I don't think being taken seriously is what Dave Lang is going for. His studio's getting work, so I don't see where you take issue.

Dave Lang is acting that way because for him, it's after hours and it's fun. If you really do think that's his game face when he finds business deals I have nothing to say. I seriously think as with how in general the internet is, we're painfully unaware of what impact we're having on human beings.

For example, I don't see why the GDC video got him into trouble, with him and Ed Boon. Maybe I missed some subtle gesture he did or something random offhand thing he said. It was entertaining for me and they seemed to have a good time. I'd never imagine that his board of directors would "talk" to him the next day and send a PR guy to follow him around.

Same with all the hateful comments during yesterday's livestream. I missed the part when Rorie had to impose a long cooldown on everyone, saying how some mean things were being said. I don't know what happened, but it must have been unpleasant for some people who are not us.

Yes at the end of the day it doesn't affect me. But I take issue that random people on the internet are saying "fuck Dave Lang". I think it's impolite and quite a mean thing to say to a stranger, and with consequences we'd never know. Just saying, watch our behaviours on the internet. That is all.

@maajin: I missed it last night, but looking at the guest list last night I can guess some people still think some games aren't "games" and that the people making those games shouldn't be allowed in the spotlight. And that introducing microtransactions in a new entry of an old franchise is a crime against humanity.
