" Wasn't that a really bad game about killing ants or something? "Thats what I recall.

That's all I know about it aswell. Apparently insanely difficult, but with some fun here and there.
" Wasn't that a really bad game about killing ants or something? "To some it was a bad game, but to me it was a crazy ass fun shooter where you get to shoot giant ants, robots, and robotic T-rex.
So I can't wait for this to come out!
Yes! EDF 2017 Was the best budget game I've ever played. I mean, whats not to love about it? Mechs, robots, ants, motherships, explosions... and a fully destructable environment. Best £17 I've ever spent

Although saying that, I probably would have bough Deadly Premonition if it came in the UK
Great news, been hoping another one of these would come out. One of the first low budget gems for the 360 as well.

EDF 2017 was awesome,
I have put like 30 hours into it over the last few years, And I still put it in from time to time and play for a couple hours
Also,
EDF 2017 is NOT "the first one"
That honor goes to Monster Attack (Feb, 2004)
Then EDF 2017 (March, 2007)
Then Global Defence Force (April, 2007)
Then Global Defence Force Tactics (June, 2007)
I really liked Sandlot's other game, Robot Alchemic Drive.
100%. It was half the fun trying to glich out the AI to beat hard difficulty levels before you get cool guns.
THEY KILLED THE CAPTAIN!
CCCCCCCCCCCCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINNNNNNNNNNNNN!
Awww, shit. That is AWESOME NEWS. God, EDF 2017 is the duck's nuts. I keep meaning to go back and have a few grind sessions with it so I can be in more of a position to tackle the harder difficulties. I think I've got only got a few levels on Hard to go, but then I've got bloody Hardest and Inferno to do. I'll probably have to try and enlist a second player for once if I'm going to conquer those.
Man, this news has made my morning.
Also, great news about a sequel. Haters need to play past the first ten levels, because the remaining forty or so from then on fill the screen with all manners of giant robots, spiders, godzillas (godzilli?) and spaceships all gunning for you. It's great.
