Gameloft is currently working on a untitled entry in the Earthworm Jim series. At present it's unknown whether it'll be a remake of one of the original titles, or a completely new entry in to the much loved series. Some fans however are speculating it will be using gameplay concepts from the once near, Earthworm Jim 4.

    Gameloft:

The game, with its humorous and edgy style, is a great fit for today's gamer who craves a fully immersive experience that is fun and easily accessible. Gameloft, hmm... I don't know which of their games were in-house and which outsourced but they've had some competent iphone/mobile titles.

It's probably just a re-release of the original methinks, I mean, it says they're bringing Earthworm Jim to downloadable platforms. Then again, marketing speil isnt exactly known for its specificity.

They'd have no reason to partner with Gameloft in that case, plus it would be a Virtual Console and not WiiWare title. Earthworm Jim is on VC.

Interesting. Earthworm Jim hasn't been in anything new for awhile. If I'm not mistaken, his last console outing was on the N64, his most recent appearances have been ports. Looks like this won't change things.
