I saw some of the screen shots before and was not to charmed about it, it seemed somewhat average but in motion the game really looks like it could turn out really nice

O wow... talk about being unique (trailer)
Never heard of that Disney cartoon before, that never came to the UK.
I think it looks awesome, a little bizarre, but awesome. Great distinctive art style, and if that music is any reflection of the tracks in the game, that's great also.
"So it's basically a game I played on Newgrounds 5 years ago?"No, it's a new one with gameplay reminiscent of a game many people have played 20 years ago.
I've been hearing about this, but never actually checked out any media until now. It looks great, I'm mildly impressed. I'm disappointed there's no sword action though, with that title, you know. Still, what's with randoms putting simple games like shoot 'em ups down anyway? This game looks pretty fucking fun, let's hope it delivers. I bet you didn't complain about Geometry Wars, and that's even simpler considering the arena shooter style instead of a proper campaign with varying levels and co-op like we see here. And it was fucking great too. Old school gameplay can't merely be old, it can be CLASSIC. Do I have to mention Metal Slug? Sure, the quality of the visuals is different, but then again these guys have a unique style, and Metal Slug has been reusing the same graphics for over a decade, while each new iteration is full price. I doubt this will cost $50. This is who's considered hardcore these days? Christ...
Having good free games out doesn't mean all games of that type should be free from now on either, especially considering some of the classics that have been offered for free. Otherwise all new games should be free. Or cost $5 or $10 max considering the classics of any genre that Good Old Games offers at that price. Flash isn't something to look down upon either, I'd totally pay for things like this and this if they offered them on WiiWare or XBLA with some more polish and content. Cave Story (yeah, I know it's not flash, but still freeware) style.
"HandsomeDead said:Oh yeah, I remember that one on CandyStand."So it's basically a game I played on Newgrounds 5 years ago?"No, it's a new one with gameplay reminiscent of a game many people have played 20 years ago. Also, I think it's being made by 3 people."
I liked the music, but it doesn't look altogether very impressive. I was interested in first, but I doubt I'll be getting this one when it comes out.
Besides, I'm not a huge fan of the side-scrolling shooter genre, anyway.
