So this will probably be deleted without a trace because it doesn't fit the narrative, regardless... here's EAs code of "ethics" regarding political activities disclosure:

Here's an interesting little link....showing they clearly broke it:

Are we willing to hold EA to the same standards as Palmer Luckey, and shame them for what they have done? Both are complicit in financially supporting a candidate for POTUS, however EA claims to be neutral in such things.

I'm guessing only one party has the "right" politics, so all is forgiven?

Their own policy means fuck all?

No. It clearly says in that second link that you included as supposed proof that it includes people affiliated with the company, and EA's policy does not preclude individuals that work at EA or own stock in EA from supporting a political candidate on their own. The same goes for Oculus.

I think you're looking at this whole thing from the wrong perspective. It's not about anything Oculus did as a company. Oculus did nothing wrong and didn't violate any company policy or law. Neither did Palmer Luckey. He's just a highly visible person in the leadership of the company, and as a result, his actions as an individual do reflect back upon the company that he's very closely affiliated with in everyone's mind. Some people disagree with his politics, and they're free to do whatever they want with that information, including no longer financially supporting Oculus.

I'm sure there are people in leadership positions at other video game related companies that you may disagree with on politics, and if you discover that and want to let that inform your decision about supporting that company, you're free to do so.

@chaser324: Not only that but if you look at the donator's assets, Electronic Arts stock is only a miniscule portion of his overall portfolio.

While the topic isn't going to get deleted because of some "narrative", I am going to lock it because the very basis for the post is factually incorrect and misleading.
