Hi guys, I have set up a private group for us duders that you can use if you want (no restrictions on play style). Unfortunately, I can't choose the name of the group (so far...?) so you have to hit the Friends and Groups option, go to the Groups tab and search for my commander name (Corvus Muninn).

Once you join (I set it to automatic so it should be instant), if you press START, PRIVATE GROUPS, CORVUS MUNINN, you will only see other Giant Bomb folk.

By the way, if you want a more general PvE group (where people can attack other players but pinky swear not to), then you might like the MOBIUS group which currently has >1300 members

Just got the game installed, I'm looking forward to my HOTAS getting here finally and playing this thing for real with people.

I've joined the group so hopefully see some fellow duders out there.

I sent a join request. The game plays alright with the 360 gamepad if you aren't into getting a HOTAS setup. You'll have to reconfigure a couple of things though, since the default mapping to the 360 pad is kinda messed up. For example they let you get into cruise mode, but not exit out of it, and only one of the sticks has a function modifier for it, while the left stick does an incomprehensible "yaw by doing small movements, roll by doing larger movements", which you can disable and change to a function modifier switching between yaw and roll by clicking in the stick.

I busted out my old Sidewinder Precision 2 and the game plays way better than it did with the 360 controller or keyboard + mouse. I shall join your group good sir!
