Overview
Eminem, born Marshall Mathers, came out of the Detroit's hip-hop scene. He rose in popularity through studio albums that contained shocking lyrics about violence, rape, drugs, gays, his mother, and jabs at other celebrities. He was also noted for being one of the few white rappers to garner both critical acclaim and respect by the hip-hop community; drastically different from past, embarrasing attempts like Marky Mark and Vanillia Ice. By the end of the 90's he had become one of the most successful rappers in the industry.
To this day he has released six studio albums, filmed a successful movie loosly based on his life, and has become a superstar.
Eminem has also worked with other rappers, notably
Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson,
Dr. Dre, and his rap troupe D12. He has also worked with other artists like
Marilyn Manson and Elton John.
Video Game Career
Eminem worked alongside 50 Cent on the game
50 Cent: Bulletproof. Originally, Eminem was only supposed to supply an idea and an overall tone to the crooked officer character in the game. However, after sending in a voice sample, the studio decided that he should voice act the crooked officer. Eminem's music is also available as an "unlockable" in the game.
Other than this, Eminem has not starred in any other games, only providing music and consultancy for
DJ Hero. However, Interscope Records released a custom Eminem model for
