I loved it

Not many games grab hold of me but Enslaved really did. The characters were so damn good, great setting, a pretty damn good story and the combat was good enough for me. I even bought the DLC which I never do. I just started Castlevania and I'm already wanting to go back to Enslaved. I think if you haven't given this game a try, you really should. It's cheap as hell now and just the characters alone keeps the game flowing and interesting

Great to hear, I thought it was really good.

Im with you. I find myself taking breaks from my newer games just to play a little bit Enslaved again. Have not tried the DLC as i love the way Monkey plays. But maybe i should give it a try.

Yeah I thought it was really cool too, and I actually really like the ending even though some people didn't.

Yeah, it was in my top ten of 2010. I highly recommend it.
Pigsy's Perfect 10 was also the best DLC of 2010 in my opinion.

Yep I enjoyed it as well.  The DLC is the strawberry on the cake (mmm... strawberries...) which actually changed my views on Pigsy.  I now love that fat piece of crap.

Agreed, Enlsaved is awesome.

It looks amazing on the character and story front alone. Unfortunately that wasn't enough for me and I'm waiting till I spot it at a more reasonable (for me) price.

Loved it too, and it was definitely one of my favorite games of 2010. Still playing it from time to time actually.

@Abyssfull:
What is a reasonable price (for you)?

Probably around £15 maximum.

I finally got around to playing enslaved and I have to say it was probably one of the best surprises of the year for me so far. Yeah somewhat repetitive in certain aspects but honestly what game isn't these days (Read Dead, AC2, etc). The storyline, voice acting and numerous high tension moments in the game made for a pretty effin awesome time. Brad's review of the game is on the money.  Since I rented the game I bought the DLC right now before going to bed just to show my support (since I probably won't get to play it for a bit now that I have Dead Space in my hands).

Sadly that's all it has going for it.

It plays like a clunky Uncharted with watered down God of War combat. The visuals are pretty underwhelming too.

Enslaved is a fantastic game, not for everyone. Unfortunately those who weren't fans seem to bitch about it an whole lot from what I've seen.

I highly recommend it, also recommend people check out that Pigsy's Perfect 10 downloadable content.

The ending was borderline retarded. Ruined the whole game for me

Just finished it today myself, and I agree the ending kind of ruined the game for me.  Up till then you had well-done characters that drew you along with them through the stages.  And then the end just kind of happens.  And not only is it convoluted, but it also doesn't explain enough.  Ugh.  The combat is fun, the traversal is straightforward, but beyond that the gameplay is just kind of bland and repetitive.  All you had was the story and it came to nothing.

I also loved it.

It at least provided justification as to why I kept seeing Andy Serkis in random locations which was really confusing whenever it happened (at first I thought it was behind the scenes stuff until Monkey kept on acknowledging it). However, I can see how it might ruin someone's experience.

I am convinced that anyone who doesn't "get" the ending to Enslaved is an idiot. I followed along with everything Serkis was saying. I got the point, the message, and why the game ends how it does. I don't understand how people could find it cryptic or confusing, or how it "comes out of nowhere".

Reminds me of how some people didn't understand the ending to The Godfather because you are shown the conclusion as opposed to being told what it is.

Holy shit this game is amazing. Just finished it. Favorite game I've played in a long time. All the environments are absolutely massive in scale, so much stuff is always going on, and the characters are great.

I'd love to see a sequel but 1) It didn't sell well from what I've heard and 2) I don't know where they'd go story-wise.
