Does GB agrees or disagrees? For me, he along with Zidane and Del Piero are the greatest players of all time.

i would vote if you said of the last 20 years or players who have been playing while you were watching football.
The main criticsm aimed at Cantona is that he never turned a European match. Also for European based players a CL/EC win is probably necessary with exceptions..i.e maradona at napoli,

you forgot the option, "who gives a crap"
#18 Posted by buzz_killington (3532 posts) -

That would be Bobby Charlton. But Contona is up there, top 10.
#19 Posted by Ineedaname (4319 posts) -

He was pretty good but for all time I'm saying no.
There's so many incredible players.  Eusebio being on my favourites.

I don't know who any of these people are.

Au revoir!

No, certainly not the greatest of all time, but for me he's the most entertaining player to feature in the Premiership. I also agree with what was said earlier - the fact he didnt produce as high quality performaces in europe - or achieve a lot at international level - probably counts against him.  But yeah, great to watch.
Also, theres no way I'd put Del Piero up with Zidane, Pele, Maradona, Cruyff, Best etc.

#25 Posted by Ghostiet (5249 posts) -

No. He's an iconic player, United's symbole and a controversial figure, but he's no way as meaningful as Gento, Di Stefano, Maradona, Pele, Cruyff or even Michael Laudrup.

He gets a ten though for kicking the hool.

I'm not even sure he's the greatest player of Manchester United.

I think George Best and Ronalde are (were) better.

#27 Edited by Linkyshinks (9880 posts) -

Cantona is without doubt one of the greatest, George was United's Best ever, buts as far as Ronaldo being better that Cantona, no fricking way, says this United fan, and I'm sure most  others would say the same. No player in the premiership generation has ever effected our club as much as he did when he joined.

United Legend & Talismanic figure.

I'm not into sports at all.
Neither in a game or for real.

#29 Posted by Creamypies (4060 posts) -

I refuse to vote yes to a question that involves an ex-Man Utd player being the greatest player of all time.

#30 Posted by AutomaticSnake (390 posts) -

No way, fat Ronaldo, Zidane, Maradona, Messi, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo are better then that guy.
