    ESPN NHL 2K5 is still considered by man to be one of the best games in the series, and debuted on the market at a very favorable price point of $19.99 for consumers ($29.99 in Canada). It was also the last game in the NHL 2K Series to feature the ESPN License, after Electronic Arts purchased the exclusive rights in 2005.

    The game featured a number of improvements over ESPN NHL Hockey, including:

    • Sliders for online play
