Estadio Jalisco was opened in 1960, the owners of this stadium are the owners of the three teams that play here. This group is called "Clubes Unidos de Jalisco" or in english "The United Clubs of Jalisco".
This stadium is located in Guadalajara a city in the western coast part of Mexico in the state of Jalisco.
The stadium was named Jalisco because the state where stadium is located has that same name.
The stadium has the capacity to sit 60,000 people comfortably.
Just like the Aztec stadium the Jalisco stadium hosted several 1970 and 1986 world cup matches.
The Jalisco Stadium is the 3rd largest stadium in Mexico but is home to the most popular team in Mexico, Guadalajara F.C. or more commonly know as "Chivas" just like the MLS team just with one difference, in team Chivas no foreign player can play for Chivas only Mexican born players.
Chivas USA and Chivas are owned by the same person.
