It actually doesn't matter much at all. all races have good ships and bad ships, and you can crosstrain later if you dont like the one you pick anyway. Pick the race that seems most interesting and go from there.

Join the "giantbombing" channel in-game and you can get instructions from there.

They offer a lot of profession variety in the packs now. Since it wasn't in the list, I'll just mention that the Mining Pack is probably the least valuable of all. You can get a Venture for free in your first hour of tutorials, and the gear is dirt cheap compared to weapons.

I was actually quite pleased with choosing the Amarr Bounty Hunter pack for my Gallente main, because it meant having a useful kitted ship in my hangar that I would never get for free.

\o/ have fun. I started playing three weeks ago, the giantbomb corp is alright I guess, but I left to find myself hauling for pirates, living on the edge. Enjoy the game.

The first week of it is pretty rough though.

@kakkles: It has the same Executioner ship, so my guess is yes. There's also the Amarr Explorer, which comes with a Magnate. Different vendors online seem to have different / older collections of kits. But nothing you can't earn for yourself in game.

Some of the packs come with special edition ships - notably the explorer ones. Any idea if any of the other ones do?
