The Gamecube was disappointing not just to me, who once considered himself a hardcore Nintendo fan, but for many people. All throughout the GCN's life, it seemed as if Nintendo just didn't get it. People didn't want a water pack strapped to Mario, a vacuum on Luigi or Cel-shading on Link. People didn't want to buy cables and connect their Gameboys to their Gamecubes, they didn't want two characters on one Mario Kart either. People didn't want Fox McCloud to leave his Arwing and going out on adv...
Even years after its release F-Zero GX remains one of the best racing games ever made. Having previously created the arcade hit Daytona USA, SEGA’s Amusement Vision had all the experience necessary to tackle Nintendo’s long-running futuristic racing series. They brought together all of the traditional F-Zero elements (recharge strips, boost power, arrow zippers, and ramps) while introducing some new ideas into the mix. Beautiful Racing Venues The designers at Amusement Vision clearly...
The gameplay modes are modest at best. The obligatory Grand Prix, Versus, and Time Attack modes all make their standard appearances but are joined by the newfangled Story Mode this time around. Story mode basically puts the player into the cockpit of the Blue Falcon, piloted by none other than Captain Falcon himself. The "story" unfolds in a series of racing challenges that reveal the motivation behind this balls-to-the-wall racing competition, although it's not any more engaging than you might ...
Everything slightly necessary for a good racing game you can find in F-Zero GX, insane speed combined with perfect controls, good challenges, graphics running smoothly with outstanding definition in details, customizable ships for you to make your own, with your own design as well, and of course, a fun multiplayer that lets you go up to 4 players simultaneously! The game takes all classic characters back, and adds some new ones, the ones added in this and the arcade versions, F-Zero AX, and bot...
I think that this game has done well in performance. It has beautiful landscapes and graphics; however, the vehicles could look a little better than what they do. The music is just right for a futuristic racing game and it nicely suits every course. The layout of each course is uniquely, intelligently, and well put together and designed. The ability to make your own vehicle is a good addition to the F-Zero formula. The characters have their own unique personality and respond in different ways wh...
I consider myself a huge, i mean HUGE fan of racing games. Both sims and arcade styled games appeal to me, yet, when I first played F-Zero, I just had to say "This isn´t like anything I have played before. It´s better".There are two main aspects that anyone needs to know about any F-Zero games: it is a futuristic styled racing game, and, more importantly, it is insanely fast! This game doesn´t stray away from the basic formula, instead it improves it and takes the franchise to a whole new level,...
