It's not all bad news (or good news, assuming you would rather play a game without the possibility of cheating) as Lionhead's community blog has a page full of tips designed to maximize your Pub Games earning potential while staying within the rules. Their advice? "If you are wondering about a 'much talked about' exploit, just ignore it (and know that a patch is on the way)."

I had around 70k but I purposely lost about 55k of it. It was more of a morale choice and gameplay so I won't tilt the balance of the game and still have enough gold to by something shiny like a new weapon!

It was more important for me to unlock all of the new items.  It took me about 2 days to unlock all unique items.

Remember that all the gold and items unlocked only apply to one Fable 2 character.  At least, thats what I had gathered from the character merging options.  I first intend to play a melee specialist/warrior type, then maybe a female hero, then a magic user.   All of the 'pub wealth'  i've gained can only be applied to one character, because i have played on only one pub avatar.

lol the blog giving tips is worthless because the game is one sided maybe they should patch that and people wouldn't use the exploit.
the only good game is the fortune card game the rest are so stacked againest you its nearly impossible to win unless your lucky.

I dunno about winning, but I was able to place 4th-5th in the keystone tournaments and unlock the items by... get this, not betting.  Most times you end up losing the least by refusing to play.  Just goes to show how lopsided this game is.

How 'bout this, you disconnect your system from the internet so you don't get the patch.
