I can't even win the first spinnerbox tourny, I never win while the Computer seems to get several high-paying wins every time, go figure.

The AWFULNESS of the spinnerbox tourneys aside (100 turns with no player input other than to spin, can't even change your bet between spins, wtf), I'm kinda hoping the ring IS cursed - moderate benefit but with a big downside, that kinda thing - and you can't take it off without completing a sidequest that removes the curse or gives you a better object. Classic cursed item stuff.

If you want to try your luck at Spinnerbox Tournaments, just keep yourself occupied and doing something else to pass the time. I just watched some youtube videos and about an hour and a half later, I had all the items.

It could be 50/50. There may be a chance it's a curse or it could turn out to be an experience boost or something.
