This might be the real deal, the Episode 1 content is only around 2 GBs, this DL is showing up on my 360 has 7 GBs.

... I'm way skeptical that they'll try to charge for it later or something... 
 
But then, I did get a copy of Splinter Cell Conviction for $1, so anything is possible. 
 
But I already own the disc version of the game, so I'm not sure if I should try this just cuz.

I have it on the disc, but whatever.

I completely disliked Fable 1 and that memory prevented me from playing Fable 2.  Now that I can play it for free, I'll finally get a chance to see if it is any better.

Oh shit, free game! I did try that Episode for Fable 2 and thought it was cool but never got around to buying the full game. Thanks for the heads up, OP. It's times like this that I wish I had better internet speed but it'll download eventually.

Finally got it. I was using Chrome and whenever I pressed the "Download to Xbox" a window would pop up but none of the text would show up. I switched to internet explorer and it worked. Just in case anyone was having the same problem. 
 
I'm excited :) Free games get me excited.

I queued it up for download, but my 360 is still busted. When my 360 gets fixed, hopefully the download will get started.

You guys are talking about the download at the bottom of the page not the "full game" link at the top right? Because i queued up the one at the bottom which is free and it says "content type - full game" but the one at the top says $19.99.

Whew, spent the last 20 mins screwing with my router trying to get online. Downloading as we speak, silver account, Ireland.

So they replaced the episodic content with the full game and didn't remember to price it?

I'd be interested to know if anyone that has downloaded the game doesn't have the beta dashboard. Maybe this is some kind of exclusive for beta users? I'd guess that that's not the case, but who could say at this point?

I don't have the beta dashboard, and it's sitting in my que waiting for me to go to my xbox. "

It's just episode 1 guys, Jesus. The game still costs money. It says I've already purchased it because I'VE ALREADY DOWNLOADED EPISODE 1. Fuck. It's not the "full game".

Downloaded it and it works fine, been playing around with it and all my saves work, a new save also works beyond the child part.
Gold membership and I'm from Holland.
